Came here after season 3. I still prefer season 1 because the villain is written well, has a personal beef with jack, which makes the confrontations more intense and the stakes involved civilians so it feels more "grounded". Season 2 is a corrupt president trying to stay in power while season 3 is a rogue group trying to initiate ww3 between Russia and USA which is a rehash of the angelina jolie movie "Salt" . Jack is relegated to the character who just so happens to fall into the middle of it and gets targeted because of it.

Season 2 kinda disappointed me. Cathy is a major character in Ryan's life according to the book but she's not there in season 2. Season 1 progressed really good, except for the ending. Didn't feel the same about season 2 though.

Season 1 ending was such a disappointment. The villain was soooooooo smart and the way be died and the way his story arc concluded was very cheap. Its like Lex Luthor going to jail for a parking violation. I actually thought the storyline was gonna be 2 seasons which would've made sense. Season 2 looks pretty good so I'll check it out. Hopefully the protagonist doesn't die from a paper cut in the ending lol

Given all the anti-terrorist, US President and special forces movies and TV/streaming series, there is now a higher standard in terms of plot holes. So first, that there would be any internet access in a CIA Safehouse/Witness protection residence defies credulity. Second, the lead bad guy showed his face on HD video to the world. You're telling me that no security agent recognizes him, even at a small airport with a private plane? Ok, possibly. However, third, there is a reason Walter Reed is used for Presidential medical treatment - it's a hardened target that mostly treats military patients. No way the Secret Service allows civilians to be routed there while the President is staying there after a pizzeria terrorist bombing.
