@@LaraHidalgo-c6g well clearly he works for the mother the mother owns the business!!! but he's ( the driver) the one who like (Joseph in The princess diaries) looks after James. And he knows James better than both his parents know him because he spends so much time with him. Mortimer is seen as the man of the house although he works for his wife. Hence why I said he works for because they are married. Mortimer can bribe whoever he wants that includes the driver to pass along information but he doesn't not even to his mother. Mortimer didn't tell his wife what he's doing too James and Ruby. So she may own the business but Mortimer owns everything else. Including his children and Lydia's own ideas. If they go by the books. You will see what I mean later.

Come on... Is it supposed to do something for me, I have seen more traumatizing plots than this...
@Justbooksmusiccatsandapen4 ай бұрын
I think the whole book series itself could have done better in terms of a lot of things but I think the acting was done very well given the two leads chemistry in the series And if they would have change stuff people would have been nitpicking about that and complaining about that too. Like Ruby Red book series I do prefer the movies over the books it was more interesting and created more depth to the characters. The only thing I wish they wouldn't have changed was. The ending where she becomes mortal. Other than that I think it was very well done too. Iknow people who were young and have drowned in man-made lakes it happened twice when I was in my early teens separate incidences. We ended up making a human chain link. And finding both of them that way at different times. And my two friends were the ones that found them both. These kids were younger then us. Needless to say after this they decided to put in a swimming pool in our summer campground. I also know a father who drowned saving his daughter when the canoe capsized I believe she was five or six. She has a fear of water ever since. Point being the story is believable if you've lived long enough and have experienced similar things. I love the water as long as I'm not in it I have a disability with my legs being in a pool like that I would have done the same thing. So again, see the reactions being valid especially since he was already in love with her by this point. I also know people who come from money who would react similar if they were in his position and at his age... When my mom died 10 years ago I had just turned 30 the month prior. My dad kicked us all out of the family home (I had moved out at 18 but was helping to raise my 8 year old nephew that my mom had been practically raising at the time) and said because of his inheritance if we were to stay living with him he would lose it. His mother is still alive she's 94. We rarely speak to our father because of his decisions involving money. It's his money and not that we should have gotten anything but just the way things were done you don't to that to family. And to top it off my sister was 7 months pregnant with her second. He's even made comments that when his mother goes if he doesn't get what he deserves he's taking the rest of the family to court. And in all actuality he deserves nothing. He spends money like water and then also complains that his bills are to high yet before my mother's death my mom was the one that paid for everything yes we struggled financially but she made it work. So he was really feel prepared and very unrealistically aware of how much life actually costs. And after doing what he did to us he can be friends with his brother who stole money from the family company and sold 100 year business out from underneath them with no indication before. Yet he's ticked off at the world because he didn't get his share when it was sold. I love him and my sister but they are both entitled. And both now have a really hard time dealing with responsibilities and life in general. And I helped raise both my sister's kids for a decade and then when I realized with the youngest one who was too much like her I couldn't do it anymore so I left. And let's just say she threw a tantrum A year later is currently still in one. And yet I had given up so much within that 10 years of my life with no regrets in that regard. But no one says boo about that. But they'll talk behind your back when you get it from the table and say oh it's a good thing I'm not married and don't have kids. But yet can raise my sister's. Point being here is that I understand the position that he is also in. He is much to lose in many ways including her. And again this is the show not real life. But " if it is supposed to doing something for you."and doesn't. Perhaps it's the wrong show for you or you just need to put yourself in their shoes.

I mean sure, there's always gonna be something more traumatic, but a kid almost fully drowning while seeing their dad get paralyzed is more than enough to cause a phobia of water and a panic attack while being humiliated in front of your classmates 💀
@kyupified24403 ай бұрын
But the thing with trauma is, a trauma is a trauma no matter how less traumatizing it is for others. In her case, guilt from her CHILDHOOD eats her and still carry it in her adulthood. She blames herself. That enough makes it relatable.
