This series proved one thing. If we have belief that we would win, then we will definitely win no matter what obstacles. In fact, I feel this series win was instrumental in breaking that mental block we had in Australia of never winning a series there which inspired the younger players 2 years later to win the 2020-21 BGT series.

@@Learner_being Yes bro. Before this tour we never won a series and our best result being a 1-1 draw in 2003-04 season against prime australia.. After that we toured 3 times before this BGT 2018-19 series losing every one of them. (BGT 2008-09 {1-2}, BGT 2011-12 {0-4}, BGT 2014-15 {0-2}). We had this mental block of never winning there even though we having the potential. Heck our last win as mentioned above before this series started was all the way back in 2008.

I even remembered when Indian team whitewashed by England team in 2014 in England. Offensive is very important in Test Cricket. @@Learner_beingActually that england series was not whitewash.. It ended 1-3 .. 2011 tour was white washed series. My point above was simple, once you start winning then automatically your mind and body start reacting to what you want. Let's take examples. Adelaide 2014 and Gabba 2021. Both test India has to chase 320+ score. In the Adelaide test, we were on the brink of winning the test but chocked whereas in Gabba test literally everyone contributed bits and pieces to our win. The difference between both scenarios were in the mindset as we were too defensive until vk came along as captain in 2015. I hope this explains everything.
