No one can look as arrogant, as entitled and as completely unaware as the real Andrew, Michael Sheen gives it a great go.

Ruth Wilson is incredible as Emily Maitlis. She’s got the voice absolutely spot on. Much better interpretation than Scoop where they had Maitlis taking her dog to the opera.

she even looks a great bit like her, remarkably so, all actors do on this show, pretty spot on casting

While watching this interview and the original one, it seemed like Prince Andrew was digging deeper and deeper into his grave. He appeared unconfident and was stuttering throughout the conversation. I believe that once Prince Andrew used the term "unbecoming," he put the final nail in his coffin after this disastrous interview, both in the TV series and in real life.

Story accuracy, morality, and acting aside, I felt particularly annoyed that the whole 3 episodes were filmed in the dark !!! Are there no lights in royal palaces and households ? Do they like to live permanently in the dark without lights, even when having dinners ? It may be done deliberately for the atmosphere, but it was so so overdone. I had to turn my TV brightness to the maximum to see the screen !

Andrew is not a media personality and it seemed to me was that it never occured to him that he was supposed to be charming or lament the fate of Epstein's victims. He saw himself as being questioned about his own conduct. He answered Emily as to a barrister or a police officer, or a commanding officer, and kept his answers to the limit of the questions. He may even have had more to protect than we know. For sure there is a lot we don't know here.

Why did they do this, when people can just watch the actual interview? I'm sure there is more to the movie but, this whole scene seems like a waste of time.

It’s well worth the watch the performances are fantastic and the drama gives a lot of context and feels very balanced treating the subject seriously but entertaining

I think this one is superb. How can you top Michael Sheen as an actor? He sinks so far down into any part he becomes that person. He shows so much nuance and empathy with the subject, yet he plays the part savage comedy.

To try to paint Prince Andrew in a better light and Epstein as the villain apparently. The acting is way off. Andrew had much more anxiety and deceptive behavior in the real interview.

Emily Maitlis was involved in the production of this one. Ruth and Gillian are outstanding in their portrayal of EM.

Sarah says: “I’d offer you tea… but I had to let the staff go.” You’re kidding me. This family needs to be “let go”. What a terrible movie, documentary or whatever it’s being called. Terrible script & the woman who’s the interviewer has an annoying voice…it makes listening to Andrew tolerable. I give this effort one star.

That's okay. Don't feel bad that you have no taste and can't recognize incredible acting and writing.

Not going to watch this self aggrandising one. The interviewer wrote this one and is looking to build her own reputation.
@letolethe3344Ай бұрын
You're right! People should never write movies, plays, books, articles, or any other media about the life-changing events they witnessed or played a part in.
@Joe-kw8hq3 ай бұрын
As for the story or the truth, Andrew was a tragic figure and an easy prey. This is regardless of whether he is a likable or an obnoxious person. If he stayed silent, it would be a sign of admission, so he would be considered guilty. He he came out fighting to clear his name, no one would believe him, and would still be considered guilty. In the end, two women won, one got millions in settlement, and the other got her award and her ego boost
@letolethe33443 ай бұрын
Seriously? You're casting a member of the most pampered, revered, and literally richest families on earth as the vulnerable victim? I can't even express what a ridiculous take that is.
