I absolutely love this thing! $30 for basically the original SS-61 and basically the DK-16 upgrade kit is a steal! Now, my copy was missing the right shoulder pad, which does throw off the look a little bit, but even without it, this figure is worth it. Great review as always, PvP! The double-bladed sword is practically nigh-accurate, and the shield does appear oversized. Though it is better for it to be larger than smaller.

As per my comment below I ordered him 6 days ago and he arrived this morning east coast USA. My copy is rock solid, perfect joints, and the upgrade kit is a crazy good plus. I print mechtech to mechtech 90° adapters so the shield was an easy solve. This is what Hasbro needs to learn, a re-release should be an upgrade not a downgrade. I will hands down be buying this line rather then waste money on upgrade kits. If this is a sample taste, I want more! The die-cast adds stability and a good center of gravity. If the 15th anniversary set got this treatment I would buy it all over again.

@@flashcrush5126 I used the link in the video description for show Z. I ordered the OS SS Grimlock, and SS Prime to see the quality of those. Sentinel just feels better then the official, the die cast means no more floppy legs too. The headsculpt is different, almost de-aged if that makes sense.

One more change i notice during the transformation, the feet piece is connected via balljoint on the ko, while on the original it's on regular hinge. Maybe the balljoint is originally intended for some sort of ankle tilt?

I would love to see sentential be justified in one way or another. I love the theory that he was a slave to Quintessa, and that he snapped out of it right before Optimus killed him, trying to warn him about Unicron and Quintessa. But sentential is one of my favorite transformers charecter, and I think his charecter ark was one of MBs best additions.

@@mrsoysauce1519 there are one or 2 videos about it here on KZbin, but not a lot. It's brake down is actually very cool, and actually kinda pulls the whole story together. It explains why Megatron knew about Quintessa, and why Sentenal went to him instead of prime, "you never could make the hard decision" its because Sentenal was enslaved by Quentessa at the time and wouldn't want to go near Optimas as he had been a knight and was one of the original 13 even if he didn't remember it. There's a lot that could be explained and may the bayverse fit together a lot better if this one thing had been made open cannon instead of rc bots and cons.

You said in your premium finish Megatron review that that could possibly be the best first movie Megatron that has come out. I truly feel like if you get the beiwei version that will change your mind. I just know received mine yesterday and not only does it have the upgraded chest with the added accessories, but it also has an amazing paint job that appears to be even better than the premium finish.

I beg to differ. Aside from the upgraded chest on the KO, the paint job on the Premium Finish is still far superior. The darker color scheme and subtle dry brushing gives it more realism compared to the excessively shiny paint on the KO.

Great video. great figure. I do love the inclusion of the cape accessory and inclusion of weapons. With the exception of a few small niggles with the Hasbro SS Sentinel, I actually like it very much. I like it's transformation and the head sculpt is good. However, I didn't like the lack of paint detail and as usual, Hasbro only seems to make their SS figures to be looked at only from the front of the figure. I went and did my own custom paint job on my Sentinel Prime. The KO version looks good. Nice price.

Must be a quality control issue......The back panel on my copy stayed on quite well.....The only real issues I had were a couple of tight joints or pegs: One in the arm and one in the leg that pegged into one of the panels. A little careful wiggling, and they loosened up.

I didn't even make it past you saying $30 before I hit pause and ordered one. Best part being I had 26 bucks in points saved up so 4 bucks was my total charge. I hate to say it but Hasbro needs to take this as a lesson. A re-release should include upgrades or at least fix problems with the first run. Hasbro could essentially re-release figures with their own upgrade kits and still make money. OV-01 is a great bot, but with the ss32 and ss44 re-release now is the time for the KO market to put out Sentinel, Jetfire, even a bayverse devestator box set with added modes and paint apps. The KO market is going to keep making figures regardless of what HasTak does, they can beat them at their own game.
