As one of the artists on the original show, I decided to come back to toy collecting by picking up the re-issue Megatron which I loved back then. It was and still is a great toy, especially if you were nostalgic for the original (like I was) and, either lost it or never had the chance to pick it up. After watching your review, I was impressed by how much more acurate it was to the show models and an improvement over the original release. It's already a difficult set to find, and while pricey i ordered it based on your review. I can't wait to display these with some of my original survivors. Great review!

These changes are incredible, but I hope that when Studio Series covers the Beast Wars characters (you all know that that will happen eventually), they alter the sculpts (and maybe some parts of the transformation) to look more screen accurate.

This pack is so awesome! I much prefer more animation color accurate than original counterpart. I love T-Rex Megatron grim head sculpt, give him a more personality. Luckily they use grey plastic instead of white paint 🎨🖌️. I do like this version than original version, so my answer is YESSSSSSS. T-Rex Megatron was truly the winner in Showdown pack, YESSSSSS. I have the original Megatron and Optimus Primal with the shooting weapons. Optimus has brilliant white plastic on the thighs that are still bright white (never discolored). Has the mouth plate too

Very nice I may actually put out the money for these. Still wish Prime had a swap-able head with face plate. And that Megatron's tail could be removed from the forearm without breaking the figure but hey for this much paint apps they definitely cant afford to be adding extra parts and retools without making it even more ungodly expensive.
