The only issue that I have with this video is that I have this exact machine and my welds do not look the same. Fantastic work, sir.

Just bought this machine and waiting for the cooler to come back into stock. In the meantime, I guess I will sign up for your video course. Thanks for the education, entertainment and the discount code.

I truly love my 225 TIG from prime weld. Great machine for the price couldn’t ask for more for the price. Wish more people knew about prime weld. Think there would be more people able to get into the ability of melting two pieces of metal together. Thankx for the videos.

Your junk welds look a 1000 times better than the bubbleguming I did today on my 21 year old thin rusty exhaust pipe flanges, using my 11 year old Hobart 140 mig porcupine needle shooter that wasn’t used for 10 years !!! 😂 Talk about jumpy wire feed and unstable worn out 61 year old arms with blind vision , but I got a dang good thick coating of spatter all around both flanges. So hopefully I can get another 10 years out of my catalytic converter pipe without any more street farting .

I love mine. I think it welds cleaner and more controlled than the 375 lincoln at work. Granted there is a huge power difference up top but I'll never need that for my house. I bought it with huge skepticism in my mind so I don't think it's a fan boy issue lol. Been using it 3 years now and absolutely love. Especially on aluminum. I think it really shines on ac.

I've owned both machines mentioned in the question, PrimeWeld 225 and Dynasty 200DX. The Dynasty welds a little smoother, has a little better start and is capable of lower amperages. The fan is also a bit louder on the PrimeWeld. From a practical perspective, though, there's nothing I've ever welded with the Dynasty that the PrimeWeld couldn't handle well.
@zpbeats3938Ай бұрын
I have the same machine and while I'm not a pro, I can tell that this thing punches with the big dogs from other machines that I've used in people's shops. They also agree this thing has a lot of bang for the buck.

We are spoiled at work with Furickk # 12 cups which give some pretty nice gas coverage. Used on 15-5 & 316 stainless plus 625 inconel. And we run them on the newer Miller 400's

I've had the Primeweld Tig225 for a little over a year, and I love it. I still can't TIG weld very well, but it's not the machines fault.

225X is a good machine, just wish the other settings not just amperage show on digital display like they do on 325 . Not such big deal when welding steel or SS, but kind the guessing game when welding aluminum or for pulse setting.
@jamesjine1702Ай бұрын
So is it possible to create a red color? I heard it has a very small window of oxidation timing to get it but I was just curious because if so it does seem like it’s rare.

Could you dedicate an educational video on ‘all about equipment ground’? Fundamentals of why it’s important, how we can all benefit from a proper set it up, how to protect electronics from HF camera/wifi routers etc. I think that would be very interesting!
@6061Ай бұрын
@11LowDown11 The only thing I ground is the welder to the foot of the welding table. I like to live dangerously. I've had no issues other than my camera going haywire and needing to be restarted occasionally.

Does the Prime Weld show each setting on the digital display or just amperage?

325 shows everything, 225 shows only amperage

How strong are those welds with no filler rod?
@6061Ай бұрын
@transmitterguy478 Out of curiosity, welded up my jet boat headers like that for my 532ci twin turbocharged engine. No filler rod. The exhaust got really hot and never cracked. I did make sure the turbochargers were braced properly so they weren't held up by the headers though. 6061.com/boat11.jpg www.6061.com/06.jpg

What's the best way on the 225 to minimize the heat traveling backwards up the torch into the hose? I think it's related to filler feed and travel speed but I'd like to hear from someone way better than me. BTW, I really like my 225 - it's the best value TIG machine out there in my opinion.
@smirmeisterАй бұрын
Get a bigger or liquid cooled torch. Travel speed & filler have no effect on the torch, only welding power (literally how much heat is being generated). More Joules = more heat.

I have been using a 1980's Miller dialarc and made good strong welds, but nothing you'd see me posting on Instagram. I just picked up a 225x about a week ago or so and this machine makes me think I just might post welds on Instagram one day. It has inflated the hell out of my ego. lol

With the cooler they're little beasts and you can get all you can out of them . I've had mine for a couple years now and love it . Just wish it had the 5 amp start but you can even get around that, so, naw I really don't need a fifteen thousand dollar machine . lol
