Hey Group, Getting back into the swing of lthings as quickly and for as long as I can. Doctors appointment is scheduled for mid-month. More surgeries unfortunately will be in the future i fear. Going to push though and am working on developing an advanced survival bracelet that I might be able to produce for resale. It's a skill that is not very sight dependent and there really hasn't been much development in low profile EDC bracelets. We will see. Thank y'all for watching and asking after me. Keeping them coming. Until Next Time, Bob Hansler

Another excellent video. I greatly enjoyed it. Yet, here's a hint from an old breakfast cook. There is an inter-membrane between the eggshell and the white of the egg. Even after cooking the eggshell is not completely impervious to water. Once cool to the touch if one puts the egg under cool or tepid running water for a few seconds---or half a minute in a container---the water will penetrate the shell and said inter-membrane and act as a lubricant. Thus preventing sticking and tearing of the egg white. The shell should easily come off in two or three sections.

The gas only comes from the yolk. You can try feeding the dog only the egg whites, but he may not eat it. Even the Holy Bible says the egg white is tasteless! Job 6:6 Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

Hey Bob - I'd like to tap your mind here a bit if I could please. You showed us how to make a primitive fish trap by sticking small limbs into the mud of a stream and constructing a funnel that would concentrate and trap the fish in the upper end of a dead-end creek. You had great results from that trap - you cought everything from crayfish to some pretty good sized fish in that trap. In another video you showed us how to make a net using fibers that you wove into cordage. Using your ideas in those two videos might you make panels of willow branches woven into mats that you could install into any creek like the one you used? Your technology used in those two videos could make a killer trap that could be installed and removed in a mater of minutes. That trap could be used dozens of times in dozens of locations with materials made on-site. I am in awe of your knowledge and skills.
@BobHansler
@BobHansler 7 жыл бұрын
It seems plausible, and it is possible to construct what you've described, but the man hours required makes the idea a complete no-go. That willow stick weir took less than an hour to construct, some of the rock ones take even less. Contrast that with building short small mesh wall panels of the same length... you are looking at 2-4 long days of work. The netting will also rot, you've a month or two before it breaks down in those conditions and a turtle or nutria could destroy the setup in short order. It comes down to time, energy, and durability. Given a few weeks of survival once static traps are in place and my food needs are taken care of I would probably make a sein type net to be actively used in the water(dried after every use). At that point though I'd also be setting snares and actively hunting the mammals that would come for the daily fish leavings where I skin them. Meat consumption for an average sized man exerting themselves daily should exceede 6 lbs. storing fat effectively for when food is not plentiful should push that number up to 9 lbs. ideally. I plan on making net traps in spring so that I can show how it is done, just know that it is a concept with that lacks practicality in most circumstances. Hope that helps mate. Until Next Time, Bob Hansler
@benthere8051
@benthere8051 7 жыл бұрын
Great answer, Bob. My intent was to use the panels on a temporary basis. They would be pulled from the water and dried after each use. You are absolutely correct - if left in place they would be useless in no time. I didn't explain that aspect of my idea very well. I am really looking forward to watching your net trap video. God's speed and keep up the good work. Thanks.

Not seen that method of cooking an egg before, my preference is to find a green stick and peel the bark off then make a small hole in both ends of the egg. The stick is then passed through both holes and it can be suspended above the embers with a couple of rocks to either side of the embers. Once fully cooked the shell is carefully removed and the egg can be either eaten on the stick or placed in a bread roll and depending on how hard you’ve cooked it,it can be split and spread across the bread. Hope that you have better news about your sight soon and then have a chance of trying my method for your eggs, all the best from the UK!
