Wow, this is fascinating and cool! When he says 2 into 3, that's 2 x 3, not 3/2. Indians seem to say multiplication that way. I don't know why.

i presume we just need to check if the power at last which is a to the power of n-1 is 1. If its 1 then every element is unique hence the number is primitive root or otherwise its not. is it correct?

*In the first step*, 2 is too small to be divided by 5, so the answer is 0 with remainder 2 Keep in mind, it’s 2/5 not 5/2

2 mod 5 means 2 is divided by 5, that is 2/5, 2 is in numerator and 5 in denominator, so 5 into 0 gives 0 and remainder becomes 2.

It's more about the remainder. 16 when divided by 5 gives a remainder of 1.
