i dont think it will last more than 5 years at best, over the layers the stones are sometimes placed in such a way that creates a potential for cracks to form vertically through the cement (for example 31:09 by the door) which eventually can crumble, esspecially with heavy wood frame on top of it which if unchanged will get heavier through moisture

What about a little fire place inside house to keep you warm during winter times

His ventilation in the house is limited to the windows and door. This means that the smoke would fill the house, and only exit relatively low - if he had them open and wasn't trying to conserve heat. What he needs is a shaft that goes from the ground up through the roof, to direct smoke out of the house safely. He could probably fit a small chimney into one of his corners pretty well, or else knock out some stones at the base for an external chimney.

A better method might be make a loop of rope, sit on the workpiece and the bench with the loop in front of you and over the workpiece, then slip your foot into the loop and apply a downward pressure. For some pieces, looking into holdfasts and dog holes might be a good idea. Those seem primitive enough to be able to make in this setting.

I love the look of your new house. For a tighter and more sealed fit for the window shutters, you could try using strips or rubber around the edges. Maybe carve a small channel in the wood in the window frame and place the rubber strips inside so they don't move when opening and closing the window shutters.

This is a very beautiful house, and I thank you for allowing us to watch it's progress. It needs very few improvements at this stage, but already it looks fit to live in. If I could offer three improvements? Obviously, you already plan to make baked tiles for a roof; from the sounds of your plans from prior videos, you plan to complete that aspect this coming summer. The roof as it is now is solid, so waiting shouldn't be an issue. You might not even need to remove it; the main advantage of baked clay is that it's waterproof, so having a wooden foundation to work from will give you more freedom in the size and shape of tiles that you can use. That being said, it would probably be a good idea for you to find a way to process oil from plants, and use it to treat and stain your wood and iron components. Oil will protect them from water, discoloration, rot, mold, and rust. Treating your windows, doors, and hinges with at least some form of oil should extend their lifespan for a long time, and keep them looking beautiful for longer. Finally, some form of chimney would be good for this house, either a shaft built up in one of the corners and through the roof, or a hole knocked through the base at some point, and a shaft built up on the exterior. The stone walls should be well insulated enough to keep you cool, but you don't have any way to provide warmth, and you don't have the proper ventilation to have a fire pit.

Putting the hinges at the top makes you able to prop open the shutters with a stick so they keep the heat from the sun out and they work as a rain guard, and closing them is much easier.

Great job. I would say maybe put the hinges towards the outer walls so the windows from one isn't blocked by the door of the other. Or put them on top and use a stick to hold them open to get a little shade.

You should build yourself some good sturdy furniture to fill your new house and build a covered porch so you can walk between your house and your kitchen and stay dry while it’s raining. Another thing to maybe build is a small fire-heated bath so you can wash off and relax when it’s cold. We don’t want you wearing yourself out and hurting your back again.

so while using your foot to clamp is pretty impressive, i recommend forging what is called a "bench dog" or "Holdfast". you can find tutorial here on youtube, but basically its just a bar of steel bent in the shape of a 7 and you drill a hole in your bench, and set it in , clamping your work by tapping the top with a hammer. holds work really well and only takes a couple minutes to forge

Duong I have a great idea! Maybe one day you will create a glass for this windows from beach sand with added of a little bit of ash and quicklime to make better properties of such glass and decreasing the melting point of it.Temperature for this process is around 1000 degrees of Celsius so you could do them in your own furnace. Think about it. My job is going well. I almost finished of painting of 3 rooms in my parents appartment.

I love the wooden bars in the windows. They fit very well! Other people might have other opinions, and it's all good...but for myself, I would not nail them in place, so that you can get out in a hurry if you absolutely need to but cannot get to the door for some reason.

Very nice, maybe you could put the charneers on the upper side, so that the windows open up, then you can attach a stick for support, that would also be nice, use gravity to close them.
