That lantern looks old n rusty just like it’s been sitting in the barn for years. That’s a compliment. It turned out great looking. Who knew cinnamon was good for something like this then cinnamon toast LOL I wish there was a way I could show you some pictures. I had an old wooden spool like yours n I turned it into an electric night light. Mine was open at the top to bottom so I ran my cord through it made a small indent at the bottom for wire to lay flat. I used a kit for the light n covered the metal piece with the plastic sleeve. I was so proud of myself that I figured out how to it. Anything you do I fall in love with it. You inspire me so much. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟

So glad I came across your video! I have a plastic scale painted black and was thinking about rusting it up. You made up my mind! Love the lantern. Looks great. I've subscribed because I really like your approach to showing how you craft your items w/o all the hype. Thanks for sharing 😊

I think you should leave the top of that one spindle green and the bottom of it green with a sanded off I would just antique it a little bit and leave it it looks good
@sandyscountrycrafts2 жыл бұрын
You know I almost did that but wasn't sure about the color. I just might do that to the spindle part that way. I gave it a good sanding and that green didn't come off, it's on there for life, so it wouldn't be hard to do. Thanks, Dorothy!!

If you would take some water down gray paint from chalk paint from Waverly you could touch up those raw edges of wood where you cut it and make it look so much better with blend in better that's something I tried and it worked good for me
@sandyscountrycrafts2 жыл бұрын
Good idea. I didn't know what to do with the raw wood where I cut. I will do that. Thanks!

How will you change the battery on the bed spring candle
@sandyscountrycrafts Жыл бұрын
I glued a plastic cap on the wood so the candle can be lifted out to turn in or replace the battery.
