Who we are?
We are a group of 4 friends who live in San Francisco, the United States of America. We worked together in a company. Currently, we just decided to quite a job and start our job as our hobby and dream job as builders. We love building. We got the same mindset. Recently, we just move to live in Oklahoma, the southern on the USA. I got a plot of land here, so we come and start making videos about how to build, how to survive, and mostly about the primitive lifeskills in the jungle.

Wow.. My parents would tell me about this when they were back in Cambodia (which is where these guys are from) and she said it is a delicious treat. The paste you see them putting on it is a pounded salt and green thai chili paste to give it a sweet salty and spicy effect.

@@johnlaslett5339 it's pretty much to mask or cover up t smell of the pheromone released whenever a threat is near the hive bees tend to release it is the signal to everybody to come and attack and defend from a threat The Hive and Queen also once they sting you they release the same pheromone the smoke itself causes them to scatter making them think it's a forest fire

Do they eat the bee larvae too? In most of these videos I have seen they only take the capped honey and leave the brood. Some even leave some honey for the bees to rebuild. So they can come back in 5 or 6 months and harvest again.

They were never in any real danger. Those are meliponines, also commonly reffered to as stingless bees. They have a distinct disability - they have no stingers, and cannot sting, which is why they huddle up around the hive. It is their way of defending it.

One thing I love is you no longer have to kill bees to retrieve honey-- in the old days they used to kill the hives. Now there's a way to safely gather the honey and let them live. My mom had a hive and they are surprisingly gentle creatures. The smoke helps calm them, but also serves as a warning you are getting ready to enter their home. My husband and I also had a wild colony make a home in the walls of the house we were restoring. We contacted some friends who were beekeepers, put on the gear, opened the walls and cut out all the honeycomb and put it in a new box hive. Once the queen was captured and placed in the box hive the rest of the colony went as well. Through all that work of carving out the combs to put in the new hive, scooping bees, and searching for the queen only one person was stung. Spoke to our friends about that colony and they said they were thriving in their new home and doing great. These guys did it right. Very happy to see that. i understand some casualties will naturally occur, and the larvae is often a delicacy and high in protein for some cultures, but that hive should be able to make a new home and survive just fine.

Usually you take the hive before the larvae are formed also one shouldn't take the whole hive specially during winter as the bees won't survive without it.. Because bees and ant are the most important part of our ecosystem..
