Why would they have cut the tree for? It's just the tree skin they need right

I'm guessing that it's because once most of all of a tree's bark has been stripped off in this way, it is then so damaged and prone to disease that it's best to cut it down and plant anew. Simply cutting off branches wouldn't have much effect - no different from pruning. But yes, it would be nice to know for sure.

Это не корица, это её дешёвый аналог - токсичная кассия, которой полны наши магазины. Настоящая корица имеет очень тонкую кору, которую невозможно снимать такими толстыми пластами. Высушенная корица выглядит как скрученная пергаментная бумага, очень тонкая и ломкая, её легко можно измельчить просто перетирая в руках. А кассия, которая показана на видео, толстая и крепкая, её в сухом состоянии можно только молотком разбить и измельчить в кофемолке. В больших количествах кассия ядовита, а корица нет.

Это же просто убийство деревьев. А если бы с них снять кожу? Одуреть можно от такой корицы. Если бы человек знал как она добывается то никогда бы не ел её.
