Omg the ripoffs are so bad. The english is always weird and wrong, and they talk about the person in third person it's so weird. "Man does amazing work build pool with stone" and then they show before and after where obviously machines were used and the "Old country man" or whatever weird names they give themselves just comes in at the end and pretends to finish it by hand. Please somebody get some of the actual titles of the videos I'm talking about they are worse than I can come up with and hilarious to laugh at.
@Mrstealth932 жыл бұрын
While i agree he is in a league of his own, there are a select few channels following a very similar theme that are good in their own way. However, all the channels that mainly make "hidden houses with a pool" is the lazy kind of ripoff. No original and useful ideas.
@El_Chompo2 жыл бұрын
@ilikebacon No that's not why it's bad. It's just one of the signs of the cheap ripoff channels usually, just like the cheap ripoff products you can buy online, for whatever reason they usually have poor english. It's bad because they pretend to do work and then fake it and machines do it.
yeah it sad that so many other youtuber copied his style, not that its anything wrong, but he should get way more viewers

Unlike most other channels out there that are clearly fake and leave their destruction behind as a potentially very big hazard that would take a long time to heal, this guy on the other hand gets straight to the point and doesn’t try to accomplish wildly unrealistic feats that are simply untrue, like making swimming pools. (Even the ancient Greeks knew that you had to filter water constantly, lest it turning into something foul really quick, especially in the heat) Just simple materials used in nature like wood, sticks, leaves, sand, clay, mud, rocks, fire, and anything in between. He doesn’t always keep uploading every other week either, meaning that this clearly takes a lot of time. He might not live in the wild, but at least he’s honest and that his methods are real. It shows some real ways of how humans could’ve survived thousands of years ago. And this guy is pretty much doing it by himself, in 5 weeks! There are so many others that make impressive looking stuff, but the whole "primitive" part of it is quite clearly just a front. They film a bit with a couple of guys using their hands. Then off-camera clearly don't continue using those methods and just by themselves. They've managed to turn it into entertainment that many people clearly enjoy watching, but they don't have charm as this OG right here who you know is actually doing all of this by himself, using the methods he shows. Considering our last look at him was the only good part of the worst video in KZbin we are all happy that his KZbin swansong wasn't a brief cameo in nearly unwatchable video. This guy literally popularized a video content format that has accumulated billions of reproductions. Idk if Primitive Tech was the first one to ever do it, but it certainly was the first one to make most of us think that pretending to live like a caveman is cool AF.

It's amazing to see you back again. I hope the time away was good to you. While you were gone, my kid got old enough to appreciate your videos, and after what was probably too many hours with both of us glued to the screen she asked me, "Can _we_ do this too?" So now we've built a couple of outdoor kilns and fired some pottery, built a teepee in the front yard, grown some potatoes, and collected sea shells to either etch pretty in vinegar or make calcium oxide cement, and she's asking why I don't just shimmy up the neighbours' trees to harvest branches and leaves like "that guy from the jungle building videos." Thank you, for everything.
