Whilst some grinding was necessary for myself, it was very, very little, and very rarely. Especially compared to games like xenoblade chronicles and such, where i ended out grinding for ages.

Wow I love this game to death but the pros always blow me away. To be honest, I think I'm content with my suboptimal strategies though because it makes it harder/more tense? I understand if that would sound weird just with how I play I dont know Galderas every trigger and whatnot so every time I pick it up it seems like an unpredictable fight that I have to improvise in a new way each time. Patience on my whole party amplifies this feeling I think.

I am "a bit" late. Don't worry, my first playtrough was suboptimal, but I liked the game enough to push it to the limit. I was too lazy to mod it and fight Galdera P2 solo. Gate of Finis RTA (speedrunà is also fun if you like to watch minmaxing strategies.

Galdera is scripted to always eye you forbiddingly after using create soul as to not cheese you out, but the Shadow Aura was quite lucky

That was so fun to watch holy. I failed my first attempt which took me 2-3 hours. Took a break and then went and did it again the next day and with some better luck and finally taking the time to kill the blade first in the second phase, i was able to beat it 2nd try within 1 and a half hour. This video might make me replay the game maxing all characters out haha

Well that was something, I recently went back to finish the last like 4 side quests I never finished then this world opened up I handled the shadow bosses fine so I thought my usual method of brute forcing my strongest attack while healing would work but nah lasted maybe half an hour before I lost the war of attrition. I'm not a strategist so I doubt I'll beat this thing but to see it soloed with my favorite character: Satisfying 👏

@@danielharry6569 ur two team both need one Apothecary to make everyone BP full every round will be easier to beat it. I only put one person attack, other 3 recover HP,MP, BP and put buff. U can do it, dont give up.

Frobbel96 after beating phase 1 with her I simply reloaded my save and switched the teams so she was in phase 2, you can see a cut in between the two phases

Majoraspirit I wouldn’t call it a mod per say but that’s more semantics. H’aanit actually has an incredibly easy solo, with Animated Armor summon she gets invincibility for two turns, with it you can have her 1hp with Fortitude and Battle Cry your war through everything.

Nah I did this twice, if you look at the video at 12:56 you can see I have another team of 4 characters in phase 2 that I used to clear through it and then reloaded my save and switched up the phases to have Prim in phase 2 by herself

@@Krysta267 that’ll never happen without using a save editor or something else to manually edit their hp to 0 as you can’t bench characters that are dead but yes if you had a team of dead characters in phase 2 it would just game over as soon as it started

I’ve actually gone on my own time and solo’d Galdy with every character and it just shows that the only thing you need is the Warmaster subjob and Rev Jams

Once I beat phase 1 I reloaded my save and went into the fight with her in phase 2 and beat phase 1 with another party. Rev Jams are available in multiple different places throughout the game, you’ll get plenty by just playing through

I had to choose my best party for the 1st phase (incl. H'aanit as Warmaster). Due to this my party for the 2nd phase got wiped off very fast, as I had no plan at all. In general, shall i use physical fighters only for 2nd phase and magical for 1st?

It’s better to have good aoe damage in phase 1 cause if you’re able to kill the souls super quickly and they’re not an issue it makes the fight a lot easier (see the fight in the video). This can be done with either a buffed up Sorc with Aelfrics and peacocks and such or with just a Warmaster. With phase 2 you’re better off taking out the extremities one by one and the Maw is the most dangerous one and should be your first target, having 2 hunters helps a lot for this as Arrowstorm is great for taking out shields. Brand’s and Aeber’s, do really solid damage against the extremities without much setup which helps as Phase 2 tries to constantly keep you on the back foot by dealing so much damage, having a merchant with hired help mercenaries helps to give you an aoe defense buff and Vets deal pretty solid damage against the extremities as well.

if you dont cheese it, it's pretty fun. Theres a decent ammount of grinding required to do it though, unless you wanna stick to a highly optimised cheese strategy. The main game ends your dudes a like level 55 and you need to be somewhere in the mid 60's with all 8 to beat galdera usually

Galdera solos are possible at lower levels but being level 99 makes it a lot more consistent since you can hit a much higher evasion stat and that's the most consistent way to survive I have found that doesn't immediately die to Vorpal Strike from Blade in phase 2
