nothing special just a quick look at the primus gas lantern

Dave, now that is a nice little unit that really kicks out some light but at 76 now I've been using my grand dad's old Coleman for about 50 years now. I did have to replace a valve years ago but it works great . But if I can find this little light I will get it out of curiosity thanks a bunch . Happy Trails

i have 2 of these, they are older models made back in the 80's but are identical except for the hanging loop. the newer ones use a cable, mine use the older bead chain, which i think looks and works better even if it weighs a gram or two more.. not lightweight but they are very durable and dependable. they can be adjusted down to a very low light without flickering, which is how i prefer to use them, and they look and sound really great.

It's the best gas lantern. It's incredible how much you canndim it, and it will STILL produce heat. Will last avlong time on low.

Must have piece of equipment ! Like you said hanging up at the campsite, can't beat it ! First time I saw them way back at a place called Ski Hut in Berkley, CA I bought one still have it. Great review especially hanging it up on arrival.

After 2 years, mine clogged. Primus has no repair center in America. Is there somewhere that repairs these?

can u use it inside a tent? or there would be hazards?
@verysurvival4 жыл бұрын
check with the manufactuers directions, there are 2 potential risks fire and carbon monoxide. The fire one is obvious, I'm not qualified to comment on carbon monoxide, apart from genral knowledge as with all combustion sources use in well ventilated areas

@@verysurvivalyes CO poisoning was my main concern.

Why does a tiny blue fire appear on the top of my Primus EasyLight Lantern lamp cap and the top cover burns red. What is the reason? thanks
@verysurvival3 жыл бұрын
The top cover gets hot, that is normal. I'm not sure about the tiny blue flame, hard to undertstand what you mean

Christopher Foulk try adjusting the mantle or replacing it . It’s hard for me to say what is going on from the description .
