MOST of them actually aren't that hard to sing along with if you got the chops to actually play the bass parts. He always sorta "talks" more than he "sings", and vocal rhythms are always pretty simple. Tommy the Cat is a good example. Which isn't to say it isn't hard, but just a testament to how damn good and savvy Les is.

when I was younger I tried to sing and play bass, it was so damn hard. I feel like you need to have a certain type of talent to be able to do that shit. my brain couldnt comprehend trying to correlate the notes and vocals at the same time.

I've been working on that tapping intro for months now and still can't play it fluidly. In my opinion Les Claypool is one of the hardest bass players to emulate, and you did it perfectly. Awesome job my man! PRIMUS SUCKS!!!!

Not that surprising really. A lot of Tech Death bassists are influenced by Les Claypool. After all, he's the OG fretless bass wizard. Also, he played a Mudvayne cover not too long ago, and their bassist, Ryan Martinie is very influenced by Les too.

@@ImNeverOriginal I think the key to doing that is that his riffs are pretty much the same thing over and over. Once it's ingrained in muscle memory you can start to do stuff over the top. The real problem is the first bit.
