Great band! One of my top live performances was 3rdEyeGirl's pajama party at Paisley Park in 2013. I don't think I had heard guitar playing by Prince and Donna like that before. The band was possessed! As Prince pimp walked past me after ending the performance, I told him that he killed it and he broke his stone face and flashed me a huge smile cuz he knew he did. I asked Donna's husband why they sounded so good and he simply said "It must be the pajamas!" I hope the estate releases that show someday soon.

My brother What I'm really enjoying at the moment on ur channel Is the fact u r coming out of yourself and ur confidence is just as fun a journey watching u grow as well as ur prince journey.B u always and keep enjoying ur new friends from around the world,The power of music has brought us together.Prince had fun and his performances helped him through crippling pain,The buzz from a crowd can make u feel amazing,Just when the cheering stops,The pain comes back and ultimately took away one of the greatest artists ever.I hope u know just how important it is keeping his music alive and how important it is showing No matter how down the road in life u r,It's never too late to appreciate great musicianship even if u didn't get it earlier on in life.Its like ur parents record collection,U may not have got it when u were younger But with an older head U get it Lyrical content and feel.So u keep on keeping on and smile always from the good u do And most importantly,THANKYOU for ur excellent channel. I reeeeally enjoyed this slowed down version that he started doing in the later years. It gave a whole new feel to what was, honestly, a pretty played out song at that point. Let’s Go Crazy is fantastic, but I can understand him wanting to put a fresh coat of paint on it after playing it probably 5,000 times 😂. He gave the same treatment to Little Red Corvette and it worked beautifully as a slower, bluesy ballad. Just goes to show that this works as a hyped up ultra-fast jam or as a smoldering, mid-temp rock song. Awesome version, and great reaction as always my man.

Can you believe that its been sunny here in May in England!! Also, its the first time I've heard you swear on the channel (Man Utd!). This tour was the last I saw Prince...right at short notice at the Roundhouse in Camden (perfect sized venue for a Prince gig!) right at the end of the tour in the summer 2014! The song was renamed "Lets Go Crazy - reloaded" (I think)...the guitar is one of his custom paint job Vox's he was using in the last couple of years of his career. Its a bit cliched, but, this was my favourite Prince gig from the half dozen I went to, but I said that after each one!! Is there a nod towards Led Zep here? What's that interesting Baywatch type music you've got going on at the beginning lol?! What a great reaction to brighten up the day!

I really loved this version (Frankenstein version). This once again shows the creativeness he has to reimagine a song that a lot of people like and make it sound totally different and better in a lot of ways compared to the original. I first heard this version back in 2012-13 from one of his websites and he had also done a cover of Peral Jam's Evenflow (Instrumental) .

A warning up front... I'm going down a rabbit hole here. Like Heturnal Kazim, I first heard this version when leaked video came out after the Saturday Night Live (SNL) 40th Anniversary show's afterparty. The room was full of celebrities rocking out to Prince and 3rdeyegirl playing this version. Even with the room being full of celebs rocking out, quite a few arms were held up above the crowd with cell phones in hand recording it. As cool as the videos that surfaced were (remember, they were all recorded by celebs and posted online), almost moreso were the stories that were told about that night. The most commonly shared story is SNL alum Jimmy Fallon's recounting of the whole night the very next day on his Tonight Show (11:30 pm shows M-F recorded around 5pm, for those not familiar with the American institution that has been around since 1954). SNL alums Maya Rudolph (a Prince megafan who has a Prince cover band called Princess) and Michael Che have their own retellings of the evening, but my favorite was the version told by SNL alum Seth Meyers on his Late Night show the next day (12:30 am, following the Tonight Show). All have similar stories. A Plaza Hotel ballroom full of celebrities, a series of impromptu jam performances by the likes of Dan Ackroyd, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Debbie Harry (Blondie), Michael Bolton, Fred Schneider (the B-52s), Bill Murray, Elvis Costello.... A lot of names, but it sets the scene. Finally, the crescendo of the party is when Prince appears through the crowd, like the parting of the Red Sea (Old Testament reference for those unfamiliar) and takes the stage. Che jokes about how McCartney and Jack Nicholson could be standing around just feeling like celebs, and then Prince walks in and suddenly they're no one... "we just got Princed." Prince starts off the song with, "Dearly inebriated," to which the crowd goes crazy and everyone, including the likes of Jay-Z and Rhianna, rush toward the stage (as Questlove said, "a mosh pit of celebrities'). At one point during the song Prince takes the guitar he's playing (it's not his, the stage just had instruments setup so the jam could happen) and lays the guitar onto the sea of hands so the guitar can crowd surf. Seth Meyers joked how anyone else lays a guitar out like that and you're going to take it home as a souvenir. But not this time... because, what if Prince needs it back? lol After Prince was done, the jam session ended. Che and/or Meyers said Beyonce was going to play something, but didn't "because no one can follow Prince." Sadly, the Seth Meyers story as told on his Late Night show hasn't been online in years. But the way he ended the story on his show sums up everything: "In a room full of the coolest people on earth, Prince is still the coolest person on earth."

This was a small section of a 3hr show and it was all completely brilliant. How do I know? This was the last show I ever seen with Prince. A day of queuing, as half the tickets were sold a week or so before the other half were on the door. This was Prince taking on Ticketmaster, who had launched an official tickett toute site, which seemed wrong to Prince and open to abuse by the corporation. But as for the show itself, I had seen him around 10 times, and this was the best, by a country mile.

Could we clarify what exactly "Stank face" is? I don't think I've heard that expression up here.....

@@YesYouCANPlayGuitar Stank Face is when any certain part of any song changes your expressions on your face 🤣😆😅😂 like u r waiting in line at the checkout at Walmart & this God awful smell comes out of no where & turns your stomach 😆😅🤣😂 & u get this expression on your face 😆😅🤣😂 like my God 😆😅😂 🤣 what is that smell & where the hell is coming from & u look around & notice that a few other people smell it 2 & u see the expressions on their face must b close enough 2 the expressions that r on your face 😆😅😂🤣 & that's what a Stank Face is 😆😅😂🤣

Please dont make the world worse with react videos. Soon you will be reacting to reactions, I mean is the best you can offer
@YesYouCANPlayGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I have much to offer, lots of stuff coming, as there are also lots of different things if you look back through the videos of this channel (which I have only been working on for less than a year.) I find it odd that especially musicians seem to have a problem with reaction videos, like it's the cheap way out. I have some musician friends who struggle with their channels but don't seem to understand yet the importance of consistency, working on video quality, lighting, content, what their viewers want etc... but yet have a problem with my channel because I have many requests for reactions. People seem to like my take on them, so I do them. You gave me some critical feedback so I'll give you some in return hoping it helps you and your channel. You are a community admin? You have some talent on the guitar, make the lighting better and video quality, and record your playing with a daw and use it in your editing, I think it would help your channel a lot. Or is this where you tell me you just do it for fun and don't care about views and followers? Take care. Bryan - YYCPG
