There may be another reason why Prince Phillip did not bond with Prince Andrew. It was rumoured that Prince Andrew is not Prince Phillip's son but is the biological son of the then Queens racing manager Lord Porchester (Thanks to Rox Orange for this persons name) Rumours of Phillips infidelity swirled for years whilst he was alive. Tbh given the aristocratic milieu they moved in, it would be very surprising indeed if neither of them had affairs. Prince Phillips was 'connected' with Merle Oberon for many years and later with Princess Alexandra - oft described as his 'friend' but rumoured to be rather more particularly as he spent his retirement with her on a small house on the Sandringham estate. Please do not shoot the messenger over this, as a 64 year old British woman I seem to have absorbed this information on the Royal Family by osmosis - and stories in the British media over the years. You may want to ask the card's if the stories that Andrew is not Phillips son are true. This may explain the antipathy between him and the King. Within the RF primogeniture has been practiced for over 1000 years to the point that Charles may not even consider Andrew to be his brother. Another question for the cards perhaps? There was another story recently that in the 80's Andrew, Sarah Ferguson and Diana got together to try and usurp Charles's place in the line of succession. That would be the kind of mad exercise those three not very bright people would think was viable but in reality laughable really. That's another question you might like to ask the cards. In our culture we tend to cherish long standing relationships and love nothing more than to see an older (senior) Couple holding hands and strolling down the street. The BA are totally different, a huge consideration is to marry for the 'Big House' for women - one of those grand stately homes - and to marry for an heir and a spare for men. There are love matches but because of those considerations they have an unspoken rule that once the 'heir and the spare' have been delivered, both spouses are free agents as long as they practice total discretion. A kind of 'don't ask, don't tell' agreement although that world is so relatively small that news gets around if you know what I mean. After delivering the heir and the spare and also tolerating Phillip's alleged philandering (and really this was widely known in the UK) it would be no surprise if the late Queen also stepped out on the marriage. Certainly the other story doing the rounds was the Andrew was a 'marriage repair' baby, or maybe an accident. As Rox Orange points out, he looks nothing like the rest of the family (neither do either of his daughters to be fair) and has, unusually avoided the male pattern baldness that afflicts all of the other Windsor men, including William and his brother. He also has an arrogant gung-ho attitude that neither Charles or Edward seems to have inherited being far quieter and more thoughtful. I think it's perfectly feasible for Andrew to be illegitimate, he has shown none of the judgment of his mother and father.

Like I've said and replied to other viewers, my ex brother in law was 62 when he found out his bio-dad was not his bio-dad, and completely by accident, his mother and who he thought was his real father never said a word for 62 years. If Marcus was raised with no idea he was adopted by who he called his father, why would he look for another dad or assume Prince Andrew was his dad??? If he was with his bio-mom and she got married right away, or another partner right away and Marcus called him dad right from the start, why would he question it? Do you question your parents if you were never told you were adopted? Or do you just assume those are your real bio-parents? I believe the bio-mom was paid handsomely to remain quiet, a water tight NDA.

People can keep secrets for years. Especially if there is a lawsuit hanging over your head. We don't know what the deal was; maybe if she said anything the child would be taken away? The college didn’t become co-Ed until 1989, so she wasn’t a student there. At the time of Andrews days there, it was a boarding school, and he stayed on campus. Today they still have boarding students, but also day students. No palace!

Shaking my head… this is why in a large part I am totally for King Charles and Queen Camilla. It’s not easy being a royal when your life really isn’t your life and your parents decide who you marry, if you can have access to your children ect.
