Due to circumstances somewhat of his own making, Andrew is now considered unfit to fulfil the role of a Royal, so he is very lucky to get any 'grace and favour' accommodation at all. Hogging a residence that is clearly better fitted to more use than he is currently making of it, is a slap in the face to the British Public, who are ultimately paying for it. If he doesn't like the 5 bedroom Frogmore Cottage, then maybe he would like to get in touch with his local council, and see what they can offer an out of work 63 year old divorced war veteran. He might be rather disappointed by their reply.

I had a four bedroom house. I was pressured by our local council to downsize. I owned it, I could afford it. I was stupid and felt greedy because they said it would be better for a small family. I now have a two bedroom house and the result is, neither of my two daughters, their husbands and my two grandkids can come and stay at the same time. They said I was being stupid, but I was alone and felt bullied by the council. They said they would raise my house band so I would have to pay more council tax and I was at the limit of my spending already. They scared me out.

The University of Portsmouth and the Portsmouth City Council built new accommodation in the centre of the city for students. They then pressured landlords to accommodate families rather than students with a subsidy. They also targeted those of us single people with multi bedroom homes telling us we would pay a bedroom tax for all unoccupied bedrooms. I was living by my means and could not really afford any more outgoings. Simple as that. Landlords still profit, I moved home.

Nobody's paying anything. The royal family brings in a fortune in revenue annually that it supports itself. Stop worrying about what it costs, who is a working royal, who isn't, etc. Also, a lot of common taxpaying people make their living off the royal family. You get rid of the monarchy or downsize it, many people will be out of work. So chill.

Who pays for Royal Lodge utilities? If Andrew & Fergie get this for free, paid by the Royal Estate, King Charles or worse still us taxpayers, then that is an outrage. They should be paying for their own utilities…. They can contact me to find out how to save £££ or ££££’s in the case of Windsor Lodge and become more environmentally friendly.

I don't have much to say except that surely he has the money to go elsewhere. His mother did leave him a more than sizeable inheritance that 99% of the British population can only dream of. However, it does appear that they are not trying to save money in any way shape or form with the move. It is just that Prince William and his wife like the home and would like to have it for themselves and their kids. So the gigantic bills, maintenance, upkeep and whatever else will still need to be paid. Also, the guy has a 50 year lease on the property it has been said. Interesting times ahead. Another soap opera is unfolding!

AS much as I don't agree with all of King Charles decisions, I do with this one, Frogmore is quite big enough for Andrew a single man, if he still continues to act as a spoiled brat, which he is, then put him out on the street and he can fend for himself is what I say, has Fergie his ex wife been given a new home, if not give her Frogmore cottage instead, also I think William and Kate and family can move into Andrews old home, it's plenty big enough for them, bit of a merry go-round I know but hey! King Charles wants to save costs where he can, and here's a way, GBN you need to follow up on this to tell us what's going on.

Considering how Andrew tried to have Charles removed from the line of succession, so Andrew could rule as King Regent until William came of suitable age to be crowned, I'm surprised Charles is just trying to kick him out of the house, let alone the whole country :-) Andrew has, and always will be, a totally selfish, over-entitled brat who has never had to grow up (Pretty much like his elder brother Charles also), so will have to be forcibly removed from his "meagre" 30 room mansion, no doubt. Here in the Rep of Ireland, people in families whose children are now of college age are being told the government is going to force them to move out of the homes they've lived in and paid mortgages on for most of their lives, as they no longer "need" a house with more than one bedroom to live in once the kids go to college. Even pensioners are being forced out of their homes and into much smaller houses, and their homes then given over to the migrants that are coming here more every day, while we have over 100,000 homeless native Irish families waiting for re-housing still. How many people would the "caring" King Charles be able to house if he was forced by his government to open up all the palaces/mansions/castles owned by the Royal Family? How many homeless veterans would love to be offered a tax-payer funded luxury home like Frogmore Cottage, I wonder? Pretty much ALL of them, no doubt, yet Andrew will have a major temper tantrum and dig his heels in every step of the way to moving him out of his plush home and offices now he's no longer a working Royal.
