@@MissR-hn8be THE last monarch before she died recommended that they started to use the name Mountbatten again.. which i find quite ironic as Louis Mountbatten has been well outed since his death as having been a serial child rapist in Kincorra boys home. With Arthur Smyth being a victim who reported it to the police before Mountbattens death ,with a cover-up by the police taking place. And a friend of Smyth who also reported the rape of himself by mountbatten= Brian McDermott- his dismembered body was found dead in a river a few weeks later.. the real name also changed to disguise its real heritage of 'Mountbatten' was Battenberg.. WIKI ENTRY-... The Battenberg name was last used by the youngest son of the Princess of Battenberg, Prince Francis Joseph of Battenberg, who died childless in 1924. In 1917, most members of the family had been residing in the British Empire and had renounced their Hessian titles, due to rising anti-German sentiment among the British during the First World War. At that point, they changed the family name to Mountbatten, an anglicised version of Battenberg.

I once met a lawyer by chance on holiday in Spain who specialised in trade negotiations. He told me a story that he had been attached to a group of British business men part of an overseas trade delegation I don't recall the country in question. The figurehead was Prince Andrew who had the title of trade envoy or something like that, and I was told that soon after getting off the plane the prince disappeared and spent the whole time partying with friends and reappeared to fly home. This lawyer and the whole U.K. trade delegation were dismayed and disgusted at the Prince's behaviour. Make of that what you will. I can see no reason why this man would make up a story like that.

The grainy video of Sarah Ferguson in a hotel room with dodgy looking characters, assuring she will get Andrew‘s cooperation for meetings and then stuffing packets of paper money into some type of small suitcase is such a meme of low level grifting, that it reminds me that “these people,“ far from being better than us, are actually worse than us. They are common criminals when it comes down to it. And she was one of them. So the Daughters have to carry not only the shame of their father, but the shame of their mother. Let us also be reminded that they stand ahead of princess Anne in the line of succession as if their father, threw some bizarre happenstance became king and died, the crown would go to the oldest female daughter. Princess Anne is way down the list as she attempts to try to keep this Titanic from sinking. Stiff, upper lip, and all of that.

I don't envy you taking part in one of those celeb football matches, some of the celebs most keen to take part are extremely good. I remember donkeys years ago some of the Westlife guys taking part - Nicky Byrne, before he became part of the boyband, was a promising goalkeeper for Leeds United's youth team, I think it was. One of the cast from Casualty had a past in Chrystal Palace. Take That's Mark Owen also a little taste as a youth footballer. In Norway the Crown Prince and Crown Princess annually hosts a little 5 aside outside their home, their family, some people with challenges of various kinds, plus some professional footballers like Erling Braut Håland or Martin Ødegård. But there also are occasional celeb matches. Norway cup, the world's largest football tournament for kids and youths, sometimes have a match like that. The two Norwegian twins who participated for Sweden in Eurovision this year, when not touring they play 3rd. division football on their local team, and train regularly every day regardless where they are. They are reported to have a very high, for amateurs, standard of their game. There also is a multiple World Champion Norwegian chess player keen to kick a ball about when he is not moving pieces on a board. Best of luck with your game, professor. Hopefully there are not too many former footballers, current tv commentators, in your neck of the woods. A client of mine did a Norwegian tv series about a football team a few years ago. He was over the moon, cause football he had been great at as as a kid, so here he would shine, he thought - until he discovered one of the stars of the show was former premier league footballer John Carew. As for the UK royals, it is funny how the tables have turned. Sarah Fearguson used to be the scandal causer after Diana died. Anything from being paparazzied when a bold man sucked her toe, to taking money for arranging meetings between people and her former husband. Prince William used to be the most popular of the royal family. So popular some even suggested skipping his father and go straight to him as the next king, even though he was barely out of his teens at the time. So what has changed? For Andrew a photo of a photo, and accusations he had sex with a 17 year old, at the time, girl. A disasterous interview where he claimed not to be able to sweat, and the rumors and speculations that followed as a result of it all. Even though Andrew never has been convicted of anything, and insists the accusations are false, the court of public opinion has found him guilty, and in lack of actual and factual proof makes all kinds of assumptions of his character and personality. What the court of public opinion doesn't even address is the solidity, or lack thereof, of evidence. One photo of a photo, which therefore is impossible to conclude whether is genuine or doctered, and the accusations from the alleged victim herself, is the only actual evidence there is. Isn't that a bit strange? A) That a photo of the 3 main characters suddenly should surface after so many years, and B) that Andrew should have posed for it, all the time he allegedly tried to keep the affair a secret? Is it possible that Andrew has been used as a lightning rod, to deflect attention away from other and more powerful people in Epstein's circle? Trump was president at the time the scandal errupted in full, he also was often in Epstein's company and at Epstein's parties. So were a lot of other wealthy and influential people whose connections to Epstein, his island and jet has disappeared in the massive focus on Andrew. It strikes me as odd that so much of why people believe Andrew is guilty is his own statements in the Maitlis interview. That they disbelieve someone like him could visit a pizza restaurant, or have a medical or psychological condition that prevented him from sweating, is prejudice based on assumptions, not evidence. Also the money paid to the alleged victim is interesting is being used against him. Afterall it was his mother and the Palace who decided to settle to get the case over and done with, not Andrew himself. Yet that settlement is used against Andrew, claiming he wouldn't have paid if he wasn't guilty. Despite he was not the one who paid, and despite such payments routinely are made when the costs and strain of continueing taking the case through court and possible appeals are weighed up against getting the case over with as quickly as possible.

Enjoy your football match, maybe somebody can loan you a pair of football boots. Mistresses, lovers have been a part of royal life for centuries, we will never know half of what has gone on, even in the present day.

Tim, at your age you could do yourself a nasty injury. And if you've never played, I would put money on you doing yourself a mischief. You have been warned!

Tim, I think the spectacle of you playing football will be much more edifying than the Olympic opening "ceremony". Stick to your tactic of "running away from the ball". Go with your first instinct.

Why should there be any evidence? You miss the point- this is the stuff of Caesar's wife. the royal family should be something to admire and look up to. It is not about evidence./ It is about commanding respect. And Andrew has failed.

@@qetounthe evidence that Andrew fails to command respect is, of course, circumstantial. However, the complete lack of support for him, whether that be from the public, Royal commentators, or even his own family, strongly suggests the veracity of the claim. Note, the prof is not commenting on whether Andrew is guilty of criminality, merely that he has failed to stand as an exemplar of honour and decency consummate with his station. And this is patently true, he was always perceived by the public as Randy Andy, the Royal waster, an image massively compounded by association with his bloody awful, parasitic ex-wife
