Actually, Jill told the story of how she ended up recording this song. Prince gave it to another artist to record but that artist turned it down. (She doesn't say who it was). He then gave it to Jill who recorded it and he loved it... She also said no one knows who he wrote the song for or about. However, it's interesting because it's definitely how Jill felt about Prince!

I keep waiting for the rest of the world to catch up and get their whole damn life right after hearing this gem. It’s my favorite from Originals AND Jill Jones’ album. That’s saying something because both albums are so so great. I put this song up with Adore. Maybe even higher. I’ve never heard him hit that crazy church scream at 3:41 before.
