PRINCE - Deliverance (Unreleased - Full EP)

Deliverance is an unreleased track recorded in 2006, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota and released on 4/21/2017. The EP Deliverance is considered an unofficial bootleg release, with the versions of the songs on it unofficial remixes. As such, the songs are considered unreleased, despite their short availability on mainstream music sites. The tracks include:

2) I Am - 03:45
3) Touch Me - 06:21
4) Sunrise, Sunset - 08:00
5) No One Else - 09:12
6) I Am (Extended) - 12:04

this is the type of stuff that should be immed released. Prince in his later stages did amazing things with gospel/ bible based projects. Rainbow Children and this are very strong material . guitar on this sounds phenom with the rawness at points of the Undertaker project (which should also be available by now.) the fanbase is not getting younger and digital releases would be a nice welcome. The Zappa estate is now showing what can be done after some inside turmoil and a great vaultmeister. (Joe Travers) , quarterly releases from a major label can be done and will sell .

Great comment. Every Prince fan is different - this, for me, is his best 21st century work. Rainbow Children had moments, for me, but overall I can’t enjoy it. Preferred Undertaker to the likes of Chaos and Disorder or Come. But this lit me up when it was briefly available a few years back, and does now.

He was always growing and expressing himself FULLY. He stopped even being interested in making a mundane "hit record". Sort of like David Bowie. They got older and better and made albums without any "hits" on them. For my money, this is some of Prince's best work I've ever heard.

@@artfull334 Hey ArtFull I totally agree about The One Song that was amazing. The estate has to get rid of one bad apple that weaseled his way in and making all the decisions. I feel they are going to continue doing remastering adding one or two songs from the vault and charging whole lot of money that a lot of people can’t afford. Prince would never charge that much money for his music.

But the majority already has this music and it has good sound quality. Yes agree, I really love Prince’s music and his messages from his post WB years and the majority of this music has never been heard. I’m so convinced that Prince had great plans with his music once he had his masters as this would have enabled him to maintain PP etc. The music covered in this video was released for sale by one of Prince’s engineers until the estate reclaimed it. My question is will Sony ever release it ??

One might conclude this final "album" is an almalgamation of Prince from 1977 thru 2016. You will find all the elements of everything he mastered all throughout. Funk/Rock/Folk/Pop/Gospel/Jazz & everything in between. Dude was an alchemist of virtually all things music.

Sometimes i just wonder what the hell is up with Prince and the prince estate. Why did Prince not release amazing material like this? There must be weeks and months worth of amazing music in his vault but the estate rarely releases anything, and if they do its not that interesting. I get that they want to be careful with releasing prince’s music because this may not be what he wanted with it, although its never confirmed why these albums didnt get released, but at the same time, he’s not here anymore, and he’ll never get the chance to change his mind about what he’ll do with the music.

Prince had problems with Warner Brothers and distributions of his work. Prince had made so much music, he could have gave half his vault of songs away that can be spread to 200 musicians and he would still never run out of material. I have close to 2500 songs released/unreleased, demos, junk projects, rehearsals, live concerts, in studio performances/outtakes, videos & movies he produced. Just an ABSOLUTE Genius, Prince IS Music. Jazz, Soul, Blues, Country _(yes Country),_ Gospel, Rock, R&B, Rap, Techno, Symphony rival or complement that of Beethoven or Mozart. Too bad he didn't have children to pass those musical genes forward.

Some of what I have by Prince is NOT for release due to it being just bad _(Even Pro's have bad times)._ One song by him is really bad, I had to delete it _(I don't remember name)._ Me as _Hobby-Musician_ know how that is, some stuff I created is just trash. But I still keep My recordings for Myself for what *_not_* to do and just laugh sometimes at them when I listen knowing I will never put it out. Even My Son's (26) very early creations of music back when he first started creating at age 10 is awful but I kept encouraging him even though he didn't like his works. Now he's very confident and BETTER than Me. We both laugh at Our bad music.

I somewhat agree. Am so annoyed with the Estate's constant release of old recordings on vinyl. Today's vinyl, are digital recording transferred onto vinyl, in no way shape or form are they capturing original analog sound. I too wish they would release songs and videos from the vault.
