I've always admired Prince Charles. Everyone always talks about how much Diana loved her boys, but I think Prince Charles has done an equally great (and affectionate) job of being a father. He and Dianna were a tragic mismatch. I don't think he was the villain in their marriage.

It's all in who's telling the story. DIana's camp or Charles' camp or someone unbiased. The Media did show the softer side of Diana and Charles made out to be the non caring, unloving parent. These pictures paint a different look at Charles as a parent. Biased or unbiased? We will never know. What we do know is that THEY have two wonder boys, who seem to be well adjusted and have their feet planted firmly on the ground.

Diana's side is much better documented, she took good care of it. That's why the narrative of her side is so much stronger. He sticked mostly to the royal "never explain, never complain". (which is not easy at all under those circumstances).

I think the two good things that came out of Charles and Diana's marriage were their sons. That something Camilla, can't take away from Charles or Diana. Their children and grandchildren will be part of Charles and Diana legacy no matter what.

jessie james I'm just making a comment. I don't think Camilla is a dummy. I think she been good for Charles. She seems to handle herself well as the wife of the future King. I don't know why they didn't marry in the first place. It would have saved a lot of heart ache. But then again I think at the time Camilla heart was for the man who would become her first husband and not Charles. Plus it been said Camilla didn't want to become Princess of Wales or Queen. I think for her Charles was just exciting fling. She probably knew he wasn't really looking to settle down at the time. I don't think the Queen and Prince Philip were against the match. Because they let their children marry their first choice of partners. Even though some did divorce I think it was Charles himself who wasn't really looking to marry at the time.

wow Prince Charles was cute at one time of his life! The biggest mistake he's made was didn't marry Camilla in the first place. If he did none of the tragic things would have happened esp for Lady Diana. He should have tried to be real man & insisted in marry the person he loved so no one else suffer coz of it (in this case Lady Diana). He seems like a great father too.
