Christian is a very handsome young man, I hope one day when he's in his 30's he finds a wonderful wife like William has in Catherine . UK and Denmark have future Kings that we are all so proud of 😊🇩🇰🇬🇧

His mother is far more an excellent role model for him if he chooses to have a wife. Not the UK.

I was in Copenhagen the day Christian's dad, Crown Prince Frederick, was celebrating his 16th birthday. There was a lot of excitement throughout the city.

Prince Christian was born 15 days after my daughter. I remember clearly because of that.

Pretty good at pronouncing Rølvaag! (Not negative criticism, but praise.) You almost have to be a Minnesotan to pronounce it since the name is said mostly as one word, not two definitive syllables. Minnesota, Dakota Territory, Wisconsin, and Iowa (location of Vesterheim Museum in Decorah = links to Norway, mostly, but Sweden and Denmark artifacts are also featured) received a heavy influx of Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish immigrants in the mid-late 1800s, so the Scandinavian names are easy for us to pronounce since we grew up with them, either as family names or as location names where our ancestors came from. Saying Rolvaag like an American is just fine and you are understood. The Rølvaag Memorial Library at St. Olaf's is named for one Ole Edvart Rølvaag, who was a professor at St. Olaf's and he also authored a well-known book for this region entitled "Giants in the Earth" about the Norwegian immigrant experience (additional bibliograhical info on his Wikipedia page; he wrote many books). His son, Karl Rolvaag (American English spelling on his Wikipedia page) was elected governor of Minnesota in 1962 after a lengthy hand count of paper ballots; he won by 91 votes (an event I remember; I was a sophomore in high school and our history teacher talked about it).

Someone teach Prince Albert how to tie a necktie so the knot is symmetrical, doesn't sit off-kilter, as if the bottom of the knot is pulling the tie towards his left shoulder and the top towards the right. It should also not be so loose as to reveal white cloth above and behind it. And get him a suit that is not too tight, especially in the back. I think he can afford one or two. He does not look serene. He looks like a businessman who's been spending long nights at the office preparing a report to be submitted to the government and threw on a jacket and tie as he ran out of the office for an appointment. Compare how he looks with how the President of Portugal looks or how Prince Christian looks in the next to last photo of him in the three-piece suit and a well-tied necktie., the one before the casual one at the end. Monaco's contribution to oceanographic research through its Oceanographic Institute should be noted.

He's gross

That is the ‘Eton knot’ favoured by the upper classes. His suit is too tight - you’re right there!

Happy birthday to Prince Christian! I hope the ongoing sad drama inflicted on the royal family by his grandmother does not dampen the joy of the occasion. The Danish monarchy seems to be in good hands in spite of all that.

On the contrary the Queen has made the right decision imo. The reaction of the younger brother by saying they are suffering is enough for me. They should experience real suffering 🙄
@geriawright12922 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the planned-demic and other social justice activism has forced monarchies adapt for survival...
@ronniealex55232 жыл бұрын
It’s hardly ‘a sad drama inflicted’ it’s how it is, they and you need to grow up and move on.

The Queen has made an excellent decision on the behalf of her family and I would say that it is something for the family to celebrate and be grateful for . They retain titles which is style and status enough for those determined to pursue an independent life , free of Royal duties and commitment. I suggest that the second son , Prince Joachim , stops whingeing and setting a poor example to the younger generation . IMO
