Prince William and Kate have attended an Easter service in Australia before taking the royal baby, Prince George, to Taronga Zoo, where he met a Bilby.

And in normal households it is mostly by the parents. In the royal household, which as an expert on these matters you will already know, the children are mostly in the charge of nannies. Nannies have reared British royals since time immemorial and it will be the nanny's behaviour that impacts mostly on this child. This baby, unless it has a disorder like autism or other, is not being smiled at enough to learn how to smile. Perhaps it is the normal socialisation of royals and, in particular, future monarchs. Children, however, should not be denied the pleasure of smiling, laughing and being playful, just because they might possibly have to wear the Crown several decades hence.
