I can relate to most of what he’s saying, because grief plays out in different ways for different people, but it is still grief. When my dad passed away, it didn’t hit me for months after he had passed, and then I spiralled, I had to take meds to sleep every night. I struggled for years. I had to get help. Part of the reason was, the day my father died, I had nobody around me to comfort me, except to tell me, to be strong for my mother. It was as if, my mother was the only one who lost her husband. People overlook the children that lost their parent, I was told to be strong.. but nobody ever asked me how I was or how I felt. I had nobody to talk to.. I could stay strong only for so long.
@Picco2008
@Picco2008 11 ай бұрын
He didn't grief, he repressed it. That’s the point! If everyone tells you from a young age that you have to hold back your emotions and not show them, then that doesn't make a person strong, it makes a person broken and disturbed! he would have had to see a psychologist back then! he needed therapy! He shouldn't have been allowed out in public. he shouldn't have shaken hands or walked behind a coffin. that destroyed him. That's why the drugs, the alcohol, etc. that was completely predictable! Kate and William advocate for mental health but do not support the family in maintaining or regaining mental health! Luckily, he found a woman who encourages and supports him to take care of his mental health.

That's why no one from the RF came to greet the public, they were sheilding the boys, but the British people demanded that the RF comes out to help them in their grief. There is no "aloneness" that compares to a child that has lost a mother. A child feels that aloneness and rejects it. "She's not dead, she's just pretending". The aloneness, the not having a mother, is an abyss that you don't want to accept as your new lot in life.

@@dianecameron137 I don't disagree that money is a big incentive for him. I don't fault him for that, he has been cut off and is highly motivated to create financial security for his family. I hardly cried when i was told my dad passed & still haven’t. Probably crying might define accepting the fact so instead taking a detour on subconscious to denial. Now, all I am wanting is a movie, a movie with Brad Pitt as Prince Harry. Can’t think of a child actor with depth of emotion who can play 12 years old Prince Harry. @@Lovesapuzzle When I see a tabloid releasing a photo of Meghan and Harry coming out of a hospital by holding a chimpanzee supposedly representing Archie, I am sorry but Harry cannot let that go and not react. The Institution didn’t want to react to that, this is horrible. There is a French say: “qui ne dit mot, consent”, which means: “if you say nothing, you agree with it”. Harry has to protect his kids from racism, he has to show them that he will never let that go, he has to protect his wife from being more and more attacked and more and more depressed. They went away, he writes a book, if one day his kids want to know his truth, they will just have to read this book, if some stories have not been said directly by Harry to them. I know that what he is doing is not easy for anyone, but the family members should have listened to him when they still could. Now, it’s too late. To keep the Crown, to gain some popularity, throwing someone under the bus is not the right way. And what is happening proves it. It’s too late for William to live a real happy life, but it’s not too late for Harry. I personally applaud him and this is just my humble opinion. I’m nobody, but I have two sons of around the same age as William and Harry, and I can see how horrible Harry’s situation must have been. He makes money with it? Good for him! After all the Crown makes money by taxing people and uses the tabloids to stay in place. At least Harry makes his money by putting some efforts and courage in it. Why wouldn’t he? I am now teary eyed again when PH talks about his mummy. I am 64 going 65. When PD got engaged and married, I was lucky enough to be in Manchester with my then hubby who was doing his Masters in the Uni of Manchester. We had just been married for a few months, my first time being in the beautiful UK, and it was heavenly being a housewife staying in Linton House, Manchester. By the time PD passed away, I was about to deliver my 7th child in Kuala Lumpur. I wept loads watching her funeral live on television from Malaysia. It was one unforgettable moment.. 'sniffles'

What people also don’t realise or seem to understand, is that everything is energy. So not only was he trying to deal with his own grief, he was dealing with the grief and the mourning of the Nation and the whole world. And if the grief of that energy sits in your body for years it will ultimately manifest into your personal life.

Well princess Diana was a champion for international charities-she would say-“come over here little one why are you hiding? It’s ok to be different” & she would give a big hug & the world loved her much more than the royal family. The thing is, is that years ago when Charles & camellia & even when William & Kate toured the cimmonwealth it was so-so but when it was Prince Harry & megans turn-the world wanted them to stay-they felt the same way for them as they did for princess Diana. And I’ll say this to Price Harry & princess megan-you can either ignore the British tabloids or you can look into buying stock a controlling shareholder in a few of them so that yalll can adjust the narrative. Finally even if y’all aren’t considered working royals, regardless, since Charles became king over there, guess what-yalls titles have to increase by default regardless if it’s considered “working” or not. Y’all are beginning the walk now in her shoes of princess Diana, international charity. “Come over here little one & why are you hiding? It’s ok to be different” & a big hug. Prayers for all in Jesus Name.

I don't know what is true and not true in many parts of his story, but the fact that they forced those boys to greet the crowds and walk behind the coffin told me everything I needed to know about this family and their twisted priorities. I was a teen when she died, I knew doing that to them was awful then, and now as a mother it I am even sadder for them. It is absolutely no suprise that he is so hurt and haunted in adulthood. People handle grief differently, I held my my mother and years later my father whilst they took their last breath I consider an honour and privilege but I did not cry even when I helped to “lay them out” for their funerals because I was processing my grief and trying to be strong which women are not usually encouraged to do. It wasn’t until the undertaker arrived and took them that I finally let go and cried almost nonstop till their funerals. My eyes were so swollen I couldn’t see where I was going. 25 years ago for my mum and 3 years ago for my dad and I still cry everyday for them. Grief never leaves, you just learn to live and cope with it because there is no such thing as closure. That’s just a fad and trend people use as “followers”.

Must've been a closed casket, even for the family. I was his age when my dad passed from cancer. I didn't cry when I was told. Wasn't until the funeral and I saw him and then it was instant. This is only my opinion- nothing more. I think Andersen did an amazing job in the interview, but I have always been curious about that lovely letter addressed to ‘Mummy’ that lay on Diana’s casket during the procession.

at that time i thought it was cruel and disrespectful that the boys were being forced to do all this, meet the public and walk behind the casket, without being able to show their grief for their mother. Now IDK how much of this was forced upon them and how much was their choice, funerals are meant to be private and personal for the family, even after her death diana and her boys had no privacy when it came to her funeral, on the other hand broadcasting her funeral showed how much the public loved her and mourned her.

For some people the crying never stops. I was 10 when my mum took an overdose.I was with her when she did it! Im an old lady now and without a doubt it has made me the person I am. Whether that’s good or bad I can’t say. I know emotionally I was damaged more than people will ever ever know. This is not to do with privilege,this is to do with the way children deal with grief. I wasn’t allowed to cry or show distress because it wasn’t the done thing. We know his family are stilted emotionally and the one thing he needed to deal with this was the one thing he’d lost. He’s fighting a system/family that has engrained emotional difficulties and he needs to let all this out . He was/is a really damaged child/adult.

It disgusts me that some institutions set standards to behave and these standards end up hurting the person who is forced to follow it. Damaging the person for ever.. Whixh is why I would much rather see such aweful institutions demolished and replaced by warm living Compassionate HR departments capable of psychiatric assistance
