Camilla was always meant to be with charles, it was only a outdated shallow, male lead misogynistic society the deemed her not appropriate as a young girl when Charles first met her and fell in love. Camilla finding her place I think is a great statement achievement for all women coming out from underneath male dominated societies and they're useless rules. Diana was great to the public and to her causes, and she loved her boys, but she was insecure and immature and you cannot fix that in someone when they have not grown up with it. She never would have been able to stand the strain of being Queen, nor would she ever be able to be second to Charles. She was a wonderful lady in her own clauses but she did not have the strength of character that Camilla has shown over all these years even her ability not to play the victim as Diana did, but also Camilla's forgiveness of the British people. Many would have said the hell with the whole thing, but Camilla loves Charles enough and her country to put up with everything that has been done to her and still be loyal all these years later. That shows incredible strength and character and forgiveness.

He separated me from my friends by seducing most of them and then dropping them, thus leaving me with no supports. Mental distress? You betcha! He was an alcoholic who turned to heavier drugs and got himself in with a rather dangerous crowd. We all had to had silent numbers because he was constantly getting death threats. Ignored and criticised? You betcha. Got drunk at every black tie dinner or barbecue we went to and was a total embarrassment. I think that's near enough to her shoes. Later some of my friends' husbands told me that they'd been following him. I think he paid off the police - that's the only way many of us could figure that he was never arrested. Want more?

What I find disgraceful behaviour towards Diana was the lack of guidance and then Diana was in trouble for upstaging the Queen and Charles. She was able to steal the limelight without even trying. Charles and his siblings are not the brightest of people and I wonder what professions any of them would have gone into if they had not been born into royalty and a life of indulgence. They were unable to see Diana as the monarchy's saviour and I am sure would have been stronger if they had supported her instead sidelining her they way they did. Camilla is ideal for Charles because he needs someone who stays in the background massaging his enormous ego. It's difficult not to upstage him since he is so boring and used to always getting his own way.

I was very young when Diana died, I had no idea who, what, when, where, why, or how but I remember watching her funeral and being in tears with my mother holding me. The Princess Diana beanie baby came out and was my favorite thing to cuddle... last Christmas my mother got me a new Princess Di beanie baby (after my original was lost/stolen) and at 33 years old I cried like a little girl. She continues to be by my side every night on my night stand and brings a smile to my face every morning when I wake up, and when I fall asleep at night. What a beautiful, remarkable, amazing and caring woman she was, and always will be.

Same. Im 34 and vividly remember laying in my moms bed with her and watching the wreck scene on the news. The first thing my mom said was "omg, they actually killed her". My mom was 34 at the time, same age i am now, and imo she was 100%. I think Diana was showing her children the “real” suffering of the world and the faces that go with it, without them learning of causes presented to them on a piece of paper and they show up a couple of times a year as a “draw”. She was teaching her children compassion. Royals are very “hands off”, she wanted them to be more in touch with all aspects of people and not just the royal life, but REAL life. I think she did a pretty darn good job.
