Prince Harry set to receive Pat Tillman Award for Service at 2024 ESPYs

Prince Harry is set to receive the coveted Pat Tillman Award for Service in the US.
The award recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to the world.
The Duke of Sussex is receiving his award for his work in launching the Invictus Games and for his military experience in Afghanistan.
Prince Harry is expected to accept the award at a ceremony next month hosted by tennis legend Serena Williams.

While on a five-month tour in Afghanistan, he served as a co-pilot gunner - sharing flying duties and taking control of the weapons of the two-man Apache. He later revealed he had shot at the enemy, saying: "Take a life to save a life. "If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we'll take them out of the game, I suppose." He was awarded a prize for best co-pilot gunner when he first qualified as an Apache pilot in February 2012.

Pat Tillman was a great Arizona Cardinal player and great American Hero who is still honored across the Phoenix valley. Years later, when someone begins to share the story of an Arizona football player and 9-11 you know exactly who it is, his name is still remembered and his sacrifice honored. He was truly dedicated to his family, America, and his Arizona family. Harry represents none of that.
