Some people do not know the real history. Zwelithini would not have been the king had it not been for Buthelezi as there were people who were gunning for the position such as Mcwayizeni. The disagreement between Zwelithini and Buthelezi arose when Zwelithini wanted his kingdom to be converted into a monarchy like the one of Swaziland but Buthelezi opposed the idea as he believed the King should not get involved in politics but others construed this as a way in which Buthelezi suppressed the king. In the end Buthelezi was proven right as the monarch would not survive the onslaught from the UDF/ANC.
