I am Ethiopian 🇪🇹 and I come before you, with no witness against me, to let it be known that I humbly salute you, the mighty and honorable people of the Zulu Empire. 'From my Lips to Gods Ear', I swear to whatever powers that be, if I could be anything but Ethiopian, I would want to be AmaZulu. For YOU, the noble 'People of Heaven', much like my people of Imperial Ethiopia, categorically defeated overwhelming European forces in defece of our common and beloved mother...'Mother Africa'. As such, Ethiopians and Zulus alike, 'Stand as One', not just as brothers...but 'Brothers in Arms'. May your glory never fade, and your story never end. From my Heart to Yours 🫶🏿 from an Ethiopian with Love 💚💛❤️

I wish you could all hear how more profound his words are in his native language. He speak directly from the heart to his people's hearts. I think his points may have lost something in translation as his syntax is heavily Zulu but he still nailed everything down either way. A True leader of a nation. Not elected but chosen from the heavens.

GOODWILL Zwelethini, in a time when professing your faith in God and being a leader is so unpopular to the world, here you remind us to live closely to God. THANK YOU THANK YOU AND THANK YOU. I taught in ZULULAND and the way the youngsters have been brought up in the most respectful of ways was so heartening and changed my life. I was so touched and honoured, privileged to have had such an opportunity. Here the Zulu King speaks of the spiritual attack we are all under and something few earthly kings would talk about today, because its higher truth and GOD is using him and we should listen.

In South Africa, the Zulus, a very virile and militant people - a nation akin to the Qureish of pre- Islamic Arabia - have given a name to God Almighty - uMVELINQANGI. This word when properly articulated in its own dialect, sounds identical to the Arabic word Walla-hu-gani, meaning - "And Allah is Rich" (Bounteous). It also sounds like "Allegany" of the Red Indians of North America (Remember their ALLEGANY mountain). The origin or real meaning of the word "Allegany," is not commonly known to the American people. But ask any Zulu as to who or what this uMvelinqangi is and he will surely explain to you in Zulu: HAWU UMNIMZANI! UYENA, UMOYA OINGCWELE. AKAZALI YENA, FUTHI AKAZALWANGA; FUTHI, AKUKHO LUTMO OLU FANA NAYE." Believe me, this is almost a word for word translation of Sura Ikhlas, Chapter 112 of the Holy Quran: Say: He is Allah the One and Only; Allah the Eternal Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. (Holy Quran 112: 1-4) ALMOST ISLAMIC Now, compare the above verses with my free translation of what the Zulu actually said: "Oh Sir! He is a pure and Holy Spirit, He does not beget and He is not begotten, and further there is nothing like Him." Every African tribe, South of the Zambesi River, that is, in Southern Africa, have given different names to the Almighty - Tixo, Modimo, uNkulunkulu, etc., and each and every African language group will take pains to explain the same pure and holy concept as the Zulu. It is to the glory of the African nations that though they had no written languages, and hence no written records, therefore not being able to recount the names of their respective prophets, yet not a single one of the tribes ever stooped down to worshipping idols or images of either of men or animals, until the White man first introduced his religion and gave the African his anthropomorphic concept of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, and brought the African down to bowing before the statues of Jesus, Mary, St. Joseph, St. Christopher and so on. Out of the dozens of African tribes inhabiting this part of the world, not a single one of them ever made "umfanegisos" (images) of their God. Yet they were capable of carving out of wood, elephants and lions, and reproducing men and women also, in clay. Besides, the Zulus also had some knowledge of metallurgy. When questioned an old Zulu as to the reason, why the Africans did not make umfanegisos of their Gods, he replied, "How could we make images of Him (God Almighty) when we know that He is not like a man, He is not like a monkey, or an elephant or a snake: He is not like anything we can think of or imagine. He is a pure and Holy Spirit." LIKE THE ARABS This term, uMVELINQANGI, though well known to the Zulus, was not commonly used. Again they were like the pagan Qureish of Pre-Islamic Arabia who knew the name Allah, but passed Him by, because they felt that He was too High, too Pure, too Holy to be approached, so they went for their substitutary and imaginary gods - their Al-Lats, AI-Uzzas and Al-Manats and a hundred besides. The Zulus too would not call upon uMvelinqangi directly, but he was better than the Arab of the Ayyam-ul-jahiliyya (days of ignorance), because he did not go after false gods; he only invoked the spirits of his ancestors to intercede with uMvelinqangi on his behalf, exactly as the Catholics do in invoking the Virgin Mary and the Saints. The more common term used by the Zulus for their God is uNKULUNKULU which literally means - the Greatest of the Great or the Mightiest of the Mighty (Almighty). More colloquially when taking oath, they would exclaim "iNkosi phe-Zulu" meaning - the Lord Above (knows), or the God in Heaven (knows), or Heaven knows, that I am speaking the truth. The word "zulu" in the language of the Zulu literally means High Heaven, and they consider themselves to be superior to the numerous other tribes of Southern Africa, being in this respect like the Qureish among the dwellers of the desert before Islam.

What a wonderful interview! King Goodwill is a true role model for not only the Zulu people, but for all South Africans and all monarchs around the world. He is a truly distinguished gentleman and all Zulus should be rightfully proud of him. The interviewer, Mr. Ali, also did an exceptional job. He treated the king with the dignity he deserves and conducted himself in a most professional and engaging manner. In an age where so many politicians are concerned more with getting votes than doing their jobs, and when journalists are more interested in advancing their own opinions rather than presenting facts, this interview was a sheer joy to watch. The more I watch Aljezeera's English language broadcasts, the more impressed I am with their objectivity. They are now my favorite source for unbiased news. France 24's English network, Vice News, and even Russia's RT network broadcasts are also very good, but RT often has a pro-Russian spin to their reporting though not too bad usually. Great job!

One of the first HipHop groups ever was called the Zulu Nation! Zulu royal family, baba, nkosi, please give council to your people and the people of South Africa, Africa, and the global community. Our continent is getting swallowed up, and your people in the Americas need help. Bayede Nkosi!

Growing up in South Africa, I could never understand the strange relationship between the Boer and the Zulu. Eventually I found that the mutual respect of one warrior to another. However, the relationships below shows a much deeper appreciation for each other. Mpande kaSenzangakhona, Mpande (1798-1872) was monarch of the Zulu Kingdom from 1840 to 1872, making him the longest reigning Zulu king. He was a half-brother of Sigujana, Shaka and Dingane, who both preceded him as kings of the Zulu. He came to power after overthrowing Dingane in 1840. Mpande came to prominence when Dingane suffered a catastrophic disaster at the Battle of Blood River in December 1838. His defeat at the hands of the Boers led to unrest, which Dingane attempted to control by eliminating potential successors such as Mpande. In September 1839 Mpande defied his brother, who demanded his support in a war against the Swazi people. Fearing he would be killed if he joined Dingane, Mpande instead led thousands of Zulus into the Boer republic of Natalia. The Boers led by Andries Pretorius and Gert Rudolph decided to support Mpande, hoping to gain concessions if he could oust Dingane. In January 1840 Mpande's army led by Nongalaza defeated Dingane at the Battle of Maqongqo. Mpande arrived shortly after with Pretorious' force of Boers, and was proclaimed king. Dinuzulu kaCetshwayo (1868 - 18 October 1913, commonly misspelled Dinizulu) was the king of the Zulu nation from 20 May 1884 until his death in 1913. He succeeded his father Cetshwayo, who was the last king of the Zulus to be officially recognized as such by the British. Zululand had been broken up into 13 smaller territories by the British after the Anglo-Zulu War, and Cetshwayo, and subsequently Dinuzulu, administered one of them. The British later realized the futility of breaking up Zululand into the territories and restored Cetshwayo as paramount leader of the territories. However, they left one of Cetshwayo's sons, Usibepu (Zibhebhu), alone with his lands intact. On 22 July 1883, Usibepu attacked Cetshwayo's new kraal in Ulundi, wounding the king and causing him to flee. To contest the succession, Dinuzulu first appealed to the British, but had no response. He then offered rewards of land to Boer farmers of the Vryheid and Utrecht districts, to come and fight on his side and restore the Zulu Kingdom. In 1884 a group of Boer farmers from the districts of Utrecht and Vryheid undertook to help restore order, in return for land for the formation of an independent republic with access to the sea. Led by General Louis Botha, they formed Dinuzulu's Volunteers and after several clashes with Zibhebhu, defeated him at the Battle of Ghost Mountain (also known as the Battle of Tshaneni) on 5 June 1884. The Nieuwe Republiek, established in northern Natal on land awarded to Boers by Dinuzulu, was recognized by Germany and Portugal. It was later incorporated on its request by the ZAR because of financial problems, after the British annexed the coastal plains from the Thuhela river (Tugela) northwards in order to prevent the Boers from building a harbor. After considerable dispute in a Natal arbitration court, Britain eventually recognized the New Republic, but reduced in size after annexation of the coastal plains by Britain and deprived of its claims to St Lucia for a harbor. The Niewe Republiek was incorporated on its own request with the Zuid Afrikaanse Republiek in 1888. Stability in the Zulu kingdom continued until the British annexed the Zuid Afrikaanse Republiek in 1899. In 1890 Dinuzulu was captured by the British and exiled to the island of Saint Helena for seven years, for leading a Zulu army against the British due to annexation of the coastal plains of Zululand. In 1906 the so-called Bambatha rebellion broke out. After the rebellion had been put down, Dinuzulu was accused of giving orders to Bambatha to start the rebellion and was put on trial for treason. Although he steadfastly protested his innocence, he was found guilty and sentenced to four years imprisonment in March, 1908. Two years later an old friend of his, General Louis Botha, became Prime Minister of the Union of South Africa. Botha ordered that Dinuzulu be released and transported to the farm Uitkyk in the Transvaal, where he died in 1913 at the age of 44 or 45. He was succeeded by his son Solomon kaDinuzulu the father of King Goodwill Zwelitini. You may not know this, but President Ramaphosa indicated in 2018 that the government will confiscate land without compensation. This includes the lands belonging to the Zulu King. We, the Boers, stand by you King of the Zulus, as we have done in the past.
