If you’ve seen Tangled the Series, I’d argue Rapunzel and Flynn are the best Disney couple. They also didn’t start out as friends, Flynn/Eugene only wanted to get his satchel back at first, but by the end they are willing to sacrifice everything to save the other person. What I love about naveen from his first scene with Tiana is that right after he showcased interest, and she didn't show interest back, he backed off peacefully, and continued his day. Alot of people, most specifically creepy men, will continue their advances even after the individual has showcased disinterest multiple times. Take notes, this is how to flirt, and not be a total creep about it. (Also, tiana, and naveen's relationship is the best Disney one since their bond with each other makes them develop for the better. Naveen being more responsible/humble, and Tiana being more carefree.)

This is why I love Princess and The Frog _and_ Tangled. Both men at the beginning were after something else, Naveen wanted to be a trophy husband. Eugene wanted the royal crown. But after going through so many things with Tiana and Rapunzel, both men slowly lost sight for the goal they had at the beginning, instead they began changing who they were, Naveen changed himself into a man that isn't dependent on his royal status and Eugene changed himself from a thief and into a man Rapunzel deserved. One thing you skipped over was Naveen’s short story about himself when he was chopping the mushroom. When he explained how his staff did literally everything for him, Tiana was sarcastically sympathetic for his *troubles,* but when he came to the realize that his parents accidentally screwed him over since he struggles to do anything important himself, Tiana’s eyes widen and realizes that this was a legitimate concern and tries to lighten his mood.

One could say the staff are a metaphor for controlling or helicopter parents. A child that has everything done for them, or isn’t allowed to make their own decisions, is left scrambling when they have to take care of themselves at an age when everyone expects them to already know how. No wonder Naveen felt like he could only be a trophy husband! He probably already felt like he wasn’t capable of much else. It’s when he begins to show an effort to be more, that Tiana happens to be the one to grant him the patience and guidance he needs to prove to himself, and to her, that he IS capable.

This romance was probably the best one in all Disney movies. Naveen went from being a hilariously careless and arrogant young man to a compassionate and responsible individual. Tiana learned to enjoy life rather than constantly working. I loved that Tiana finally realized that love is more important than simply seeking material ambitions, and she was even willing to accept being a frog forever as long as she and Naveen could be together. Naveen also realized this, as he had second thoughts about marrying Charlotte (simply for her good looks and wealth) and realized what a good person Tiana was. Their friendship, and eventual romance, was such a natural evolution. Even Charlotte was great, as she understood that by not marrying Naveen, she is allowing Naveen and Tianas' dream of being together to come true.

yes!! also they heal each other in particular ways but it's much more relatable with them not having extreme characteristics but just human behaviours. for example naveen is not a total jerk or dramatically different than other male love interests in Disney films. Tiana is also a very normal person which we can see tones of examples. She is just too hardworking and sometimes the only thing she focuses on is her dreams and goals. But they both make each other realise that there are more important things in life. Also I love that in the end, they did not turn into human form by a magical power of kissing and pure love, but actually because he kissed a real prince which makes sense and explains everything. this film is so good and the most sensible shit i've ever seen in disney lol

and they both just look different (non-white to me at least), had the most personality and was overall just charming or quirky and different than the typical "princes" or love interests in Disney movies. They weren't perfect Mary Sues but had clear flaws and developed. No wonder I loved Eugene so much.
