I bought Prince of darkness on blu ray when it first came out on blu ray but the 4k movie is really good and buying it with the fog on 4k was really worth it, great review.

Very good and honest review. Dolby Atmos track is the best reason for the upgrade.

In Australia, As well as this 4 film 4K edition, you can also buy those 4 John Carpenter films individually on 4K UHD which includes a second blu ray special features for each title.

Just wondering has anyone ever had any issues with their 4K discs? I’ve been playing them great for months but lately it seems like it’ll freeze up towards the end of the movie even if it’s brand new

I still have my DVD copy...these days any copy of these movies are just fine with me. I'm not trying to replace every single movie i own, i would go broke quick with over 3000 movies.

I'm the same, I've over 5000 movies on dvd and will not upgrade the majority of them mostly due to price and partly because unless I watch it on my projector I don't see a huge difference between blu ray and dvd. Prince of darkness though is one of my favs so I want to watch it on the projector so I upgraded it to blu ray, I have no interest in 4ks as the picture quality does not make me enjoy a movie any more or less as long as its decent (I'm not going to put a Mill creek 50 pack movie on my projector but on my 28" monitors it's grand).. When I bought POD it cost me £8.99 on Blu Ray, the 4k was £19.99. I cannot justify paying more than double just so it looks a bit better.

Just picked up the 4K release of Prince of Darkness I upgraded it from the steelbook Edition where this really seem to have all of the same goodies on it that that came with alternate ending Etc commentary I am looking forward to putting this in and seeing the quality of the transfer for myself and I probably am going to bite the bullet and pick up the thing 4K next go-around

I was wondering what do you think about the streaming apk’s like kodi a lot of the 4K HDR movies have huge files Wonder Woman is in 4K hdr 5.1 and the link was 47 Gb. And was extremely clear and really good picture . The bit rate is really high . Just want to know what’s your take on the quality of these better streams

I've been saying for awhile I want Studio Canal and John get more of his films transferred. I love the individual releases of these 4k's. It wouldn't be too hard to get more in 4k. I mean shout has vampires and escape from LA 4k restorations I do believe since they hyped that for their Blu-ray releases. Arrow has a 4k restore of the thing and big trouble in little china they used for their Blu-ray releases. So come on bring on the uhd 😂

@@garyturley2435 news of studio canal 4k restorations came out Sept 2018 so they were out short after I do believe. Bit when shout started pre-order for they live then changed the release date I went looking and for all the Studio Canal releases.

Might be the first real horror movie I ever saw. Was so scary me and my bud had to mute the sound somethimes, it was so intense. I'm sure now it's no big deal to an adult, but when I was 7, it really tripped me out.

@@donjaun540 There is a lot of stuff. The opening scene is 9 minutes long. Science and religion actually working together The ending of the movie is remarkable, to this day. On the old IMDB forums there was a quote about this movie: "With Carpenter, it's as bad as we fear, and probably worse. "

I personally think its a cool set but I don't like buying other countries blurays because the slap region labels and the ratings big and bold looks ugly at least with American editions there on the back the ratings and region labels are but they don't look ugly and take away from the art on the cover
