I love this game, I wasn’t sure about how I would feel about the new style of it because I was used to the old prince of persia, I thought it looked like a game u play on your phone, but I gave it shot, and got addicted, explored every piece of the map. It definitely should have a sequel with this style

Im so impressed with this game. I started on the hardest level. I really have gone back and forth the HUGE map so much. Ive got about 40 hours in and im about 60% completed. This is the best platformer ive ever seen. Thank you for reviewing this. I cant believe more people arent talking about this game.

I agree. I downloaded it by whim since Nintendo ran a sale. What a solid game! $30 was a bargain. I spent $35 on the new Contra and we were bored with that after 10 hours (although the challenges might be fun, I've only done 2 of them). I hope it's successful enough for ubisoft to make another. My son won't read the tablet stories though. Lol. I wish they had narrated those. The history of Ahura Mazda is fascinating.

Almost complete this game... Facing the final boss. The platform challenges are driving me nuts and yet I can't stop playing it. The only problem I have with this game is the bugs. Some challenges are just not working.

Yeah I was definitely frustrated by some of the bugs as well, I know eventually they’ll be smoothed out but it’s still annoying

This is by far one of the best games I've played recently. It's a slow grind in the beginning, but it opens up and wow!!! Amazing!

Saw this on sale and downloaded for my son's switch. Way beyond any expectations! I played the original xbox one and Warrior Within and thought those were pretty good. This far exceeds those. It's a challenging game, though. Some of the platform puzzles are true tests of mind and button synchronization and get more complex with each new ability. My 10 year old son keeps surprising me with his ability to beat the puzzles, although he struggles with the fighting engine since he button mashes too much. The timing of the parry is not easy. Very good game overall. We are at 50 hours! Had no idea it would be such a big map.

Great video man. Absolutely amazing game, surprisingly. Enjoyed the heck out of it! 3 sections that made it a 60 hr experience for me - managed to platinum it at least: the parrot (could not land the return to the captain for days); the platforming section on the far east side of the sand prison (those stupid jade platforms), & the two Xerxes coins in the Sacred Archives (the impossible climb quest comes in a close 2nd to this). A classic for sure!

After completing the last crown 100 percent, playing the new Nine Sols game. It took me a while to begin enjoying it. Compared to the lost crown, it is more like a boss battle game than a Metroidvania. Again, compared to the PoPtLC, traverse, map design, back tracking, platforming and especially the puzzles are C, or B tier at best (map would be D tier). I learn to love it though. It is exactly what would happen if you wanted to make Sekiro fight mechanics into a 2D game. Prince of Persia going right up in the top 5, modern, Metroidvania games, in my books. I highly recommend it to any Metroidvania or 2D platformer fans.

This is absolutely my Game of the Year. Amazing Metroidvania, best one I've played in years. I was absolutely devastated when I saw Ubisoft weren't continuing with this series. I played the original Sands trilogy, but Sargon is absolutely my Prince of Persia.

I didnt know anything about the game before buying it. I just saw its a metroidvania and a friend had it. It was super cheap at target i only paid $25 with deals. I didnt expect it to be so well made and long. Its pretty hard too on normal so i can imagine at higher. Def recommend.

I played sands of time only but got this cause I heard good things and I am captivated by it. Just love it! @@ThisIsReviewable it’s wild too cause i have never been a big metroidvania dude I loved the prime trilogy but im more of a zelda, or Skyrim kind of guy. I got ori and the blind forest on a whim seeing the art and I got sooooooo hooked. The sequel is perfection too! And now this lost crown has me hooked. I just got to the battle on the ship and am looking forward to dying a few times and learning the patterns

@@EDECO79 that’s ok man games are subjective at least you tried and now you know maybe those style games are not for you. I will say this though, I never ever played metroidvanias other than the original Metroid Prime trilogy back in the day. Today they are a dine a dozen and I always steered clear until ori hooked me. I have tried a few others and they didn’t click not even hollow knight did it for me. But this prince of Persia is something really special. The demo hooked me but the full game is on another level

It’s doable. It took me longer than the bosses but it was a challenge that rewards your desire to conquer difficulty 😊 your reflexes will be muccch sharper, you’ll be a much stronger player going through the game, like earning a new layer of rigidity

Well that’s what reports are saying but it must have got enough sales since Ubisoft has allowed the team to release 3 free content updates and has faith enough in it to fund the upcoming story dlc. This may have been slowly getting more sales by word of mouth over the last few months. Can’t find anything past initial release sales so don’t know but would be shocked if Ubisoft is funding more content if it didn’t get enough sales

I play this on PS5 it really good, even graphically. This was also my First Prince of Persia game. Combat was fun, and I mostly suck as doing challenge platforming. I did counter a bug it happened when fighting Verden a second time. I was using tier 3 Athra. It triggered twice and made Verden invisible. But I did beat it with the bug going on even in the cutscene. Luckily, it did go away when I left the scene. I honestly think Sargon would even be fun if he was in Smash if there was one in the works.

Dude almost in every aspect is golden starting by being a musician the main theme perfect yes less metal than WW but amazing, combat, weapons maybe not much needed right amount, map is massive and DLC hasnt even been released i already crave for more , just some details as most games as there is no NG + same as LOZ BOTW but not even GOW 1 didnt have ng + that game using the golden blades would ve been Gold and as i said a personal rant maybe after getting the last skills devs should add more areas to enjoy those skills more time, other than that as new POP game and 2D awesome and better to play it on Switch!!!👌🏻

NG+ is an interesting idea too, I don't know if I've ever seen that done for a Metroidvania since the games are technically open, but you can't reach certain areas without somewhat sequential ability unlocks. I'd like to see it tried though!

I thought this was a really fun game, but for some reason the last bit of the story was a let down for me. I had one sidequest that just would not complete. Also wish I would have played through it on hard or immortal instead of the default medium difficulty. I will give it some time and probably play through it on immortal. I liked Dread more but a metroidvania that is close to Metroid is still a really good game.

Was it the parrot quest? That one broke for me. Yeah I definitely think the game would have lost that little something extra had I played it on normal. I think I chose hero for my playthrough, the challenge honestly added a lot to my experience

I’d say Celeste has better platforming than Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Guacamelee has my favourite combat out of a Metroidvania too. I still think this game is great, though.

Celeste does get an amazing amount of mileage out of basically four movement mechanics (jump, move, climb and dash) I that’s a totally fair opinion. I just love how free ori makes you feel with the double/triple jumps, the wall climbing the bash, the eventual air boost you unlock the lasso etc. Different styles I think but both very good

It's definitely not a masterpiece, combat is way clunkier that what you stated for instance and level design is okay without being awesome either. I think it's a very good point of entry for metroidvania newcomers though, and a good job from Ubi indeed

Seems right up my alley but I will not support black washing, funny how it’s okay to make the playable character of the only game series involving Persians… not look Persian. But if they made a game about African mythology and made the main character white well… that wouldn’t be acceptable.

I just wish they didn't have a timed platforming section as it's very difficult and there is no way to lower the difficulty. That and I wish you could fast travel from the menu not having to go to a fast travel location.
