My favourite speed windsurfing video that I've ever seen ! Really great at building the tension getting a couple of knots faster each person + some of them look so close to totally spinning out esp 2:02 that it gets across the nerves that you need at this speed. Excellent !

I used to windsurf a lot a as kid and young adult. I wonder how many people do it that are under 30 these days. All these guys are looking kind of old (my age, LOL).

in ludoritz which is fastter and shorter they don't gybe because they need to race in only one direction, but they could, they brake in really a short distance

Doesn't anyone see a problem here?!? The average age of the people. Youngsters are supposed to establish such records. There are no new entries anymore. We are failing to renew this sport. It will die if we don't do something.

Alex Gabriel Heh, there's no real sense to it until you go right back to the ancient English way of measurement en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_units#Length Crazy right? So you get to 1 fathom, which is outstretched arms of a man = 6 feet and a nautical mile = 100 fathoms. And yes, as tha bludga describes, it's purely a word for the speed, but it's the speed of measured nautical miles per hour. Then there's the nautical mile. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nautical_mile#History Hahahah! It's just after 12AM on a grey Sunday and you got hit by me being lazy surfing on my laptop!!!
