This is how it's done. You get the gist of the song structure and while it swims around in your head you start to hear it in different ways. Prince recorded everything and could revisit ideas and iron them out and added flavor and colors til.... wah lah... 😉

Indeed! It’s a wonderful thing to listen in on the creative process. It was a rocker at this point, Prince eventually took the edge off to make it more commercial.

@NOWtheband Жыл бұрын
@@uploadvidz4490 - According to the Duane Tudahl book and PrinceVault website, Fischer definitely didn't have anything to do with Raspberry Beret. Of course the song itself was arranged and produced by Prince but the strings on that track were arranged and conducted by Wendy & Lisa (with Lisa's input being more prominent). The earliest input by Fischer was around October 1984 for The Family LP. The strings for Raspberry Beret were done about a month earlier. 🙂

@Tony 🖤💜🖤Get ready for the new half-ass book that’s coming out, having to do with the making of both the ‘ Parade ‘ and ‘ Sign ‘O The Times ‘ eras. It’s a follow up to the one “ about “ the making of the ‘ Purple Rain ‘ album. Can’t remember the actual name of either book and I’m thankful for that. It’s going to be full of the same W&L crap that the first had. What I don’t get is why is the “ author “ combining ‘ Parade ‘ with ‘ Sign ‘O The Times ‘? If he’s going to do a combination of albums, wouldn’t it had make more sense to combine, ‘ Around The World In A Day ‘, with ‘ Parade ‘? The ‘ Sign ‘O The Times ‘ album ‘ deserves a book of it’s own, and has no real connection to the other two albums, except for the fact that Prince is the creator of all three. None of those books are ever going to be very accurate without the participation of the man who created all of them...Prince. Instead we’ll end up with the usual self grandiose, mis-information, lies and hearsay by those former ex-employees who have an imaginary ax to grind. I got sucked into getting the first volume, it won’t happen again.🖤💜🖤

@@purpleflowers699All tracks from Around the World in a Day were covered in the Prince and the Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions: 1983 and 1984 book because they were recorded in 1984, Pop Life was actually recorded a month before When Doves Cry. Some of the tracks that ended up on Sign o the Times were recorded during the Parade sessions that's why the book is called Prince and the Parade and Sign O' The Times Era Studio Sessions: 1985 and 1986.
