I feel you! I’m 51 been a Prince fan since 1983 and have followed him in many tours , I cried too the day he passed, like part of my life was gone that day, he is the soundtrack of my entire life and there will certainly be no other genius like him, music will never be the same since that day, what a loss, and now to get to cherish these performances that he never allowed, it’s like watching him live again. He was gods gift to humanity, musically speaking …GOAT!

Wow reading these 2 comments really hit me because I could have wrote them. I also followed him since 1979. And the day he passed, I also left work . I had to show my wife these comments so she can see I wasn’t the only man who reacted like this

Je ne suis qu'un petit français. Mais un jour une journaliste de rolling stones interviewait Éric Clapton : " qu'est-ce que ça fait d'être le meilleur guitariste au monde ? " " I don't know....Ask Prince". Alors oui, Big UP 2 Mr Nelson...at least and 4ever 💜

I have never been able to understand why someone would put a thumbs down, or put a stupid comment disrespecting him?? FFS? Do these people have something wrong wither ears? Or are they just plain stupid? I come from a musical background, so think my musical ears are pretty darn good. The man was an out and out genius. I have seen so many concerts and listened to so many styles of music over the last 40 years. I can honestly say, i have never seen or heard anyone play the guitar with such feeling and emotion, such technique and always a beautiful tone. Good god i could listen to him play anything for just hours upon hours. His playing gives me goosebumps! And when you actually watch him, its effortless, like an extension of his body, it's part of him. He blows my mind every time i see/listen to him. And to think this is only a small part of his musical skills! Makes my head hurt thinking about it. Genius, legend, GOAT, here aren't enough words to describe this awesome man. Miss him every day 💜💔💜

Happy birthday, Prince. I'm more familiar with the "small club" version from soundboard, but the handful versions I've heard never fail to stop me in my tracks every time. When that guitar solo kicks into high gear, I am completely lost, unburdened by my troubles or the world around me, and that big blue beam of light at the end of all those superhero movies bursts from my heart and lights up the heavens. To me its is close, very close. The first time I heard the trojan horse version was 91, wasn't until like 98 or so that I was able to down load an listen to as much as I wanted. So I've listened to that version hundreds of times. I barley heard this version earlier this year and damn, I really like it.
@ulf18313 жыл бұрын
I adore the more breathing synth line in the background compared to Trojan Horse. This is just so godamn soulful and sparse. Doesn't need all the spotlights and effects on a high budget tour to attain exactly the same feeling with just one man and a guitar. Trojan Horse and this is a 50/50 for me. Depends on my mood for the day
