My husband and his brother have been estranged since 1992. Our children didn’t meet their cousins until their Grandmother passed in 2011. They were never curious about their cousins because we never talked about them. It was a non-issue. When they met, it was again, a non-issue. They were cordial to each other. They became Facebook friends. But there wasn’t a need to become friends other than that. No one is considered cool. We all live in different parts of the U.S. I don’t think the Wales children will be keen to be fast friends with the “cool” cousins in CA. In fact, they might find them odd.

A Dutch friend once said the British mother was the only one who chose to have their children grow up out of sight in boarding school. The continent never had boarding schools! My mother dropped me off on the steps of boarding school at the age of eight. I am 68 now and still struggle with it. But it was the “norm” then. I can sense how King Charles must have struggled!

I think William was having problems with Harry before Meghan ever entered the picture. She just magnified his behavior. If I was William I would just distant myself from my gossipy brother and wait until he finally comes to his senses. He is just too toxic at this point to William, Catherine, and the young Royals. Harry did something unprecedented when he attacked his family who did nothing wrong and are still unable to defend themselves. He did this for money. As someone who has been bullied I know how much this hurts. The internet seems like an impersonal environment but this may not always be the case. Instead I encourage others ( to do what I usually do ) who are not impressed with Harry behavior to stop giving Harry attention. Harry does not deserve our attention. I wish everyone all the best. I think Harry can be successful in California if he is willing to learn and work.

I adore and admired Queen Elizabeth. She was stoic by nature and there's nothing wrong with that because that was simply her nature. I think it's unfair to use her work as an excuse for her relationship with Charles. Charles was no different in his parenting, except he wasn't King when he volunteered or chose to travel for Royal Duties instead of spending time parenting teenage Harry after Diana passed or even spending time with his grandchildren with William. Even William admitted he wished Charles would visit his children. Again, that's just his nature.

George, Charlotte and Louis will not be remotely interested in Harry's kids. There will have been plenty for them to read by then to know the Sussex side can never be trusted. And anyway the Waleses life will already be full of jolly cousins they've grown up with from the Tindalls to the Philips to the Matthews (Pippa) and the Middletons (James). William & Catherine's children will not be at all lacking in the cousin department. Can't say the same for Harry's kids but Harry created that situation. He set up a whole host of "genetic pain & suffering" with all his envy & bitterness. There will be nothing "cool" about Archie, especially with parents like Meghan & Harry.
