Catherine has not put a step wrong. She kept her head down for years when she & William were on again off again & the press was constantly attacking her. They called her watie Katie & would follow & chase her endlessly. She could not even hold a job because she was harassed so much while at work. I think Princess Catherine did an amazing job at supporting William and letting the public get to know her over time & now they love her. It’s a job I would never want & I give her so much credit for doing such a wonderful job!!!

One of my best memories of UK. To see HRH Prince William's wedding live: watching them kiss on Buckingham Palace 's balcony and the crowd going crazy, waving small Union Jacks in each hand, and what not. I am very lucky to have been in London at that time. As I was there for 2 years, I grew quite fond of the Royal Family and the history of Britain. As HM The Queen is no more and it is a sad time for all of us around the world, it is truly the start of new beginning as HM King Charles takes over the reins of the British Monarchy🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

Now that he is HM KCIII, and I personally see that he’s matured much - even from 20 years ago -I believe he will be a stable leader and will follow in his mother’s footsteps. Being the head of the Royal Family may not make you a ruler these days, but you do become a leader of sorts. If the Queen had died around that time and the succession pass over Charles for William back then, I think it would have brought him more pressure than he could handle; he would have been too young. Charles may not have the best PR image, but the man was more than ready to succeed his mother whenever the time came. And now he'll serve his reign for however much time he has, and when the time comes, William will be ready. Elizabeth's long reign really did her family a service, I think, as far as making sure her successors would be okay.

Catherine was labelled waitie Katie as they courted for 10 years and also broke up at one point. William did not want to repeat what happened to his mother who married at 19 and it turned out to be the right decision.

Whilst her father has some links to Prince Philip and links to Royals through generations ago ancestors (as do many British people) they are deemed as commoners. Catherine’s mother Carole is from a normal working class background and was a flight attendant. The term commoner is not to be confused with calling a person common.

Kings were, historically, not the greatest spouses, but that didn’t matter since they were king, and some were even great monarchs for their countries, regardless of how bad they were at marriage. Simply put, how good they are in their relationships isn’t a deciding factor for how good they will be at ruling a country. Which is why the actual crown isn’t based on a popularity contest, thank god. With how fickle popular opinion is these days, there would be a new ruler every few months.

I get that Charles has trained his whole life to be King and protocol should be followed. It's just hard to swallow when you see Camilla next to him sitting on their thrones. The past situation and Diana will always be remembered. None of this would be an issue today if Charles would have been allowed to marry who he loved in the first place. I suspect Charles will carry out his duties as King until he becomes ill or passes.

The problem is he was still in love with Camilla and had an affair with her while she was still married to another. Diana, and Charles other girlfriends, even knew about his affair with Camilla, but unlike the other girlfriends who left because they didn’t like this fact, Diana still chose to stay and marry Charles because she was overly infatuated with him. This isn’t a case of people falling in and out of life. This story is far more complicated, and people have a right to be upset by it.
