Yes even with his catalog of material that was released, there are gems that most people never heard because they didn't make it to the pop charts. Sadly most people only know the hits from no more than 3 to 4 of his albums. I'm so happy people now get to discover and revisit the genius' body of work on youtube.

I think Prince, as an older artist, was significantly more popular than most of his contemporaries, considering how well he did with ticket sales whenever on tour. His biggest obstacle to gaining a wider audience was having very little radio/youtube presence, which is a shame when one sees how many younger people are finally seeing the concert footage and hearing his albums.....they may have purchased the music and attended the concerts a decade ago. Many of us were his age, so it was a lot easier knowing what he offered musically, considering all the coverage he received 1982- 1993 by the media. Honestly, it's dubious that Prince cared: his freedom as an artist came first. Hopefully, new audiences will discover his music and legacy as a pioneer in the industry💜, and he will influence their own work.🌟

love the sound of the old instruments. lets you know Prince stood the test of time. Prince's voice never aged. bass is heavy. bad ass ! this could've easily been on Prince's debut album (For You) as a follow up smash to 'Soft and Wet'. Taja Sevelle covered this song her debut album in 1987, but of course, this Prince version is the "original formula" LOL

This has been driving me crazy. Thought I was going nuts. I'm thinking I know this song very well so why are they saying its unreleased? So started searching through all my Prince albums and couldn't find it. Then came here and you provided the answer cos I had Taja's album duh 🙄 so thanks. Had no idea Prince was producer of Taja Sevelle who I loved. Imagine how many other people he guested on their albums either singing or playing ANY instrument or wrote lyrics or melodies for. I heard him say he didn't want anything in return. Gotta love this man 🎵💜
