These are some surprisingly hard-hitting questions. Normally, in a Prince interview you can tell that they were versed in advance in regards to what questions 'not to ask' as opposed to which ones 'to ask.' This interview seems comprised of all those questions that would normally fall into the category of 'questions not to ask.' I think that Prince chose this moment to allow that level of inquiry with Chris Rock, which shows how comfortable he felt with him. "Damn, I miss this man!"

Hearing/seeing this interview for the first time here in Oct. 2024 ... Excellent! Genuinely thoughtful questions and equally honest answers. It was obvious that Rock is a huge fan and that Prince recognized that and replied with equally thoughtful responses. Prince is missed and will always be loved. 💜

I never knew that this interview ever took place. I truly LOVE THIS INTERVIEW ! Chris Rock asked very good questions and listened to Prince. Prince was so forthcoming and relaxed and had very much to say. This is a REAL CONVERSATION. All you get now is rushed typical questions. I really think that the stars were aligned during this interview. BRAVO 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾

Chris Rock did not get that in Min 3:12 Prince was telling him that he was sexually abused as a child when the mother remarried, its unbelievable...( learning the birds & bees the hard way by the mother and this had an influence on his sexuality?) I mean, its obvious what he was telling Rock, the tool just did not get it, like most people who watched this,...

Chris Rock was very fortunate to be able to say he interviewed Prince!! From what has been told, he didn't normally allow himself to be interviewed!! There will never be another musician and artist like Prince!! He played multiple instruments and very well!!! He composed, arranged, and produced his own music!!! How many can actually say that? I think when Prince realized how valuable he was, the record companies recognized he was a force to be reckoned with. He wasn't going to allow himself to be manipulated and coerced into signing shady deals. I am sure he upset a lot of executives when he chose to follow his own path and do his own thing. Hence, the creation of his own label!! I have much respect for Prince for owning his music and not allowing the sharks to take a bite out of his creations!!! His freedom to do what he enjoyed and to perform with intensity is definitely missed. He created real music playing many of the instruments himself. He was an amazing artist who is definitely missed!!! RIP Prince!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
