As someone who's recently gotten back into Genshin, I feel like 10 minutes isn't nearly a long enough try-out time to see why people like it. The overly long introduction, cutscenes that drag on a bit with dialogue, and gacha mechanics making it hard to form a good team quickly leads me to think about an hour or so would be better to get the hang of it, though I don't blame you if that alone is enough to turn you away. I can't speak for others but for me personally, what draws me to it is how it handles elemental status effects. Every type of magic can interact with the other magics in some interesting way, and you can use that to make already decent attacks even stronger mid-battle. Such as using a spell that inflicts the player with the "wet" status effect, then switching to the ice-powered character and letting all of her cold attacks freeze the enemies instantly. Or setting an enemy on fire then striking them with electricity to make them explode. Or instead of lightning, hit the flaming enemy with wind attacks to fan the flames, dealing more damage while also setting the area around the target on fire as well. Every character has some kind of unique elemental ability and it encourages you to experiment and try out whatever new characters you unlock to see how their abilities might fit into your team. And even though new characters start at level 1, it's actually pretty easy to level them up to catch up with your team right away since most things you do normally will just have you stockpiling experience points anyway. But that's just my opinion
