Yes, originally written for the organ by Brahms. I've played a few on the organ and am now learning the piano transcriptions. The organ pieces are not that frequently recorded and may not be played in churches very often. They are not easy pieces to play OR to hear. I'm more of a pianist and I so appreciate having these piano transcriptions to play for myself so I can wallow in very late Brahms. They are very difficult to play *well* and I admire the talent of the pianist here.
