Do you make the ring without the hole below the stone. It doesn’t matter

Provavelmente a iluminação para a pedra, entra pelos rasgos laterais. Ficou um belo trabalho!

Sneaky way of setting these princess stones...even this is prong setting but looks like you kind of did the setting in between channel set and invisible set on these prongs. And then smash the prongs to hide those little walls between each diamond. Never thought this way to set the princess stones. Man! I learned so much from this video. Hope i can have a chance to use this technique I learned from you . Thank you so much for sharing! I am just wondering the metal seen very soft...is it white gold or platinum or some other kind of metal? And I am sorry if I make a stupid assumption. If it is not white gold, does this technique work on white gold, such as 10K,14K and 18K white gold?

Hi, Thanks for your nice word! This is our way of setting these princess cut diamonds. The material used is 14kt white gold.

Good effort but this setting technique will easily break stone corners if the claws are short and if they are long which easier to be pushed over the stones but will leave too much metal and gaps on the top which always get caught on cloths. Another downside is that this setting technique will leave gaps between stones. It can never be achieved a flush bling continuous looking of stones on topview because of this corner cutting style.

Sry bro, but this was "kamekaze style". The edges will break easily if you have bad luck., although its diamond.. I would nevver suggest to do that with customer stones :P

Christiaaaaaan what is the right way then? Give a link to the video please.

@@GennadiyGold Sometimes constructive criticism can be accepted in any case. The prongs are too long and the pressure is directly over / on the edges of the stone. You do not have to set much stones to know that. I've been following this channel for a while and think it's great. But that's also why it is important to be able to leave criticism. When you show something on YT, you can assume that many others will follow your steps Therefore the criticism. You could previously bend the prongs outward (or already draw it on the 3D model), then the stone tips are milled out. Now all you have to do is put in the stones and push the prongs inwards (it does not take much, as the tips of the stones are already pre-adjusted). I like approaches that apply to any kind of gem .. Try that with an emerald or even a topas. You will damage most of them. And as mentioned before, even with a diamond you do not have the certainty that it can stand it. (14 carat white gold or red gold are simply much harder. )

I am pretty sure that someone that tries to set princess cut for the first time wont try it with precious stones...i would not anyway! He is clearly talented and experienced, dont think he relies on luck, the setting was in 18 kt ,you can see how soft is the metal and i am sure he uploads videos to show the quality of his work and not for educating even if some with a keen eye can learn a lot!

@@Christiaaaaaan I completely agree. If my benchman did this I would fire him. This was rough. Especially with princess cuts. Additionally, artisan prongs are not slouched over, but stand upright and are bent at 45 degrees, then gently shaped and rounded. UGH.
