Former Royal Butler Paul Burrell says if people were questioned on The Mall, they would say that Princess Diana "was the best Queen we never had."
Speaking to TalkTV's Vanessa Feltz, Princess Diana's former butler says Queen Camilla will be dreading the coronation as she is a "a reluctant queen", who is the one person who can say no to King Charles behind the scenes.

The Spencer family had troubles long before her sister Sarah Spencer introduced Diana to Prince Charles as he was then, as Sarah Spencer dated him first, who on earth introduces their sister to their ex boyfriend Prince or no Prince! Diana had a temper, she slapped her own father round the face when he told Diana that he was marrying Raine his second wife, also she even pushed her stepmother resulting in her falling down the stairs. That's because Diana thought she would punish Prince Charles as he was then, so she played a game upstaging him, I don't think Prince Charles as he was then was never jealous of Diana popularity, she was just sly and cunning Paul!

In truth I feel both sets of parents forced and pushed the couple to get engaged and as much as I admired our late Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh it was them that thought these to Polar opposite people could make a lasting modern marriage. They say Charles was too young to marry Camilla but they wanted a girl from an aristocratic background. I have huge sympathy for Diana and I wished she had had lived to make a happy marriage more children too. She was no saint she was flawed and doesn't deserve the virtual milking of a sacred cash cow. Charles isn't perfect but he stuck by his first real love, they radiate in each others company I wish them a long reign but happy and secure William and Catherine will pick up the baton or sceptre when the time comes.

Love Paul Burrell. He is so right, that we can't change what has happened, but we do have to walk this bridge to get to the next one who will be King. I hope Harry smartens up and see's that his brother Prince William, is doing exactly what his mother wanted him to do and was groomed for. Perfectly said. As much as Diana was admired by all, she never undertook her role properly. So many experts + public, like to think that Diana was innocent in everything but she wasn't. She knew what she was doing. She knew the press, photographers were besotted by her. She knew how to use her "innocence" to mould the public. The way she would look forlorn, the way she would tilt her head and look up from her fringe, was really quite controlling and manipulative. She knew it gave herself the attention and it made Charles look cold or clinical. In a sense, the manipulative sides of Meghan are much of what Diana did, it's just that Meghan isn't as soft in her way, she is boldly manipulative. Camilla however, supports Charles, as the King. She works for the Duty, works diligently, without asking for fanfare. Catherine is like that too. William and Catherine are a good balance for one another. If diana was alive now and still married to the King, the Coronation would've been more about her and not the reigning Monarch, the King.

Ahh but he betrayed Diana telling stories, saying that Diana's secrets weren't pretty, but Prince William and Harry should know! Police found over 300 items that belonged to Diana after helping clean out her Kensington Palace apartment, worth millions of pounds, although he said he took them to preserve them for Prince William and Harry. I think he stole them for himself but he got found out. Anyway it was our beloved late Queen that save Paul Burrell as it was the first time a Monarch intrevened in a criminal court case and she saved him, he was a very lucky man! That's how he got the name, the knicker sniffer as he had some of Diana's clothes too.

I was totally bewitched by Princess Diana at the time. But I can't help but feel she cheapened her story over time. Just because Charles had his affair with Camilla, doesn't mean she had to retaliate in kind.
