I was born about the same time as her royal highness, & my kids (both boys) were born about the same as hers. It was a blessing to watch her & her children live their lives as it went along - and as much as one could from over here across the pond. Watching her do such courageous things like shake the hands of lepers & hug AIDS patients. Most ppl were afraid to even be in the same room as an AIDS patient at that time. Not Princess Di. She POURED her love & affection on them....dying alone in the hospital. Well..and, at the same time, it was desperately heartbreaking to watch her live her life- knowing Charles (with Camilla) constantly humiliated her...mostly via cheating on her. They didn't even TRY discreet about it. And the higher royals were BEYOND complicit. Neither CHARLES, nor that interloper CAMILLA, could bring themselves to love &/or respect her as a person, a princess, as his wife, nor even as the boys' mother. I mean, how much can a man genuinely his children if he's constantly & deliberately humiliating their mother on a daily basis?...even with the entire world watching? Doesn't add up to me. I am commanded by my Lord & Savior to forgive, but im not 100% sure Ive truly ever forgiven Charles or Camilla. Only God knows the deepest crevices of my heart far. And, of course, just sitting there, watching TV, minding my own business, when emergency broadcasting interjected with the devastating tragedy of the deadly car crash. The entire world went silent. // Young Harry's little legs running to the beat of "Say you'll always be my baby, we can make it shine.." My heart is LIQUIFIED. Manoman she loved her baby boys! Do you know she would often get chastised for "doting on them too much"? Sry to blubber on, but I know 1st hand, how fiercely boys are of their mother. To not be able to protect her...even from their own father, HAD to have messed with them horrifically. Okay- I'm done with my diatribe. God bless.

Harry and Elizabeth definitely loved Diana deeply, Elizabeth only ever bowed to one person lower ranked than her, Diana in her casket as they carried it past her. It was other members of the family who disliked Diana
@genfromthebin59432 жыл бұрын
I know this is late, but Queen Elizabeth ADORED Princess Diana, and even refused to acknowledge Camila as queen, I believe she even made it so that even after her passing (which has sadly come to be), Camila would not be recognized as Queen in any sense. She is Queen CONSORT, and I don't think that will change even after Charles dies, if she is to outlive him. Queen Elizabeth may have done these things because Camila was definitely not suited for Charles, but the fact remains that she did very much appreciate Diana's contributions to society, and Id go as far as to say she saw Diana as nothing less than royalty the moment she was welcomed into the family. Charles and Camila were the ones who failed to appreciate her. Diana was a royal, through and through, despite her background. As my mom said, Diana carried herself like a royal, but was also the PEOPLE'S princess. Sorry about the rant, I just think it needs to be cleared up that Diana was very much loved by the Queen, lol.
@SaintKitteh2 жыл бұрын
That’s not how it works I’m afraid. Camilla is only a Queen Consort because she is not the monarch - King Charles is. If Queen Elizabeth really hated Camilla I highly doubt she would have allowed her to have the title Queen Consort. However Prince Phillip was never named King Consort as male consorts are addressed according to the title they are given before or after marriage. They do not share the same titles, hence why he was named the Duke of Edinburgh. If Charles passes she will be the Queen Mother as was Queen Elizabeth’s own mother (who was also Queen Consort), but she will never be the monarch as she is not in line to throne.
@genfromthebin59432 жыл бұрын
@@SaintKitteh From what I know, she has the title BECAUSE Queen Elizabeth passed. Charles was next in line, and as such, succeeded the throne. As a result, she got that title. Queen Elizabeth did not give her, nor "allow her" that title. Though please correct me if I'm wrong?

Yes, she was. I was actually in France, and drive through that tunnel not long, as in only a few hours, before her accident. We were so shocked when we got home to hear the news! And Katherine is a very good modern version of what Princess Diana started. Mum first, doesn't take the title as super serious, it's just something she got for marrying the man she loved. She will be the new people's Princess, and that's good. We need that person who is the link between us "commoners" and the Royals. Katherine is even more linked to us than Princess Diana was, because Kate was born a "commoner" herself. William absolutely met and married the perfect woman. They have done great things as a Duke and Duchess, we can expect even better from them with the new role and titles. Their future reign as King and Queen Consort will be very good for the people, the country, the Commonwealth and beyond I think. It is still so very sad to have lost Queen Elizabeth II, but, it is also an exciting time too, seeing what some "new blood" will do for crown and country. And it's the first King in over 70 years. Not that King Charles didn't already have big enough shoes to fill, bless him. Watching him at Her Majesty's funeral today was hard, he was clearly very upset. As they all were. Hopefully he can have a little time to himself, before having to do anything major as our new King

@whatiwriteafterthisismainl71332 жыл бұрын
I mean u *can* get infected with AIDS so its best to be careful, conveying that theres nothing to be afraid of can cause the continued spread of the disease. Have you seen the picture of the guy who was dying from it? Its like saying thats not something to be cautious of. Moreover, isnt the queen the person who was credited with modernizing many aspects of the monarchy? First to have a coronation broadcasted, first to have a long distance call made in the UK without the help of an operator, she first sent an email in 1976 about 2 decades before it was frequently used by the public, she also was the one who started walking along and greeting people who gathered on the streets to see her which became a tradition after that. I think Diana was the one who brought humanity to the _image_ of the monarchy, not modernization per se.
