This tears me into a million pieces. I was 9 years old when this tragedy occurred. I remember how heart broken both of my parents were. I didn't know what was going on but for some reason I couldn't sleep that night. I remember asking my mum the next day who she was and why is everyone so sad and that's when my mum told me how lovely the Princess of Wales was and how pure her intentions were and how beautiful her soul was. The world never deserved Diana. She was too pure for this evil place. RIP Queen. You will always be remembered and celebrated.

It’s amazing how Diana was the first person to ever use her royal status to help others. She was the first person to actually care about other people in that family, and chances are she’ll be the last. A truly magnificent soul, and the whole world loved her to bits. Just disappointing that the family she actually married into couldn’t show her the same affection.

Cant believe almost 24 years have passed by. 1997 feels so long ago, yet not so far away. especially with this incident. It feels significant because of Diana’s death. I remember watching it on the TV. It really shocked the world it was a tragedy all around the globe. You could feel it. It was enormous. Everyone talked about Diana’s death.

I never understood why she didn't sleep at the Ritz that night instead of attempting to get back to Dodi's apt (which was also surrounded by press). Anything they needed could have been fetched.
@pjr77545 жыл бұрын
I have trouble believing that places such as the Ritz does not have a basement garage where they could have gotten into a car without all the cat and mouse stuff. Also, that they did not have a car with blacked out back windows, with a blacked out partition inside. The pap could chase them all they wanted but would only get a shot of their reflection looking back at them. They could have driven to Dodi's apartment, pulled into a basement garage, taken the elevator to his flat, and not one photo would be worth publishing.

This whole scenario to them is normal, yet watching it, I found the whole video unnatural and creepy, even without the sad ending. Looked a creepy place to me to be in anyway, and all those people waiting, hanging around, waiting, I wonder what or who they have waited and hung around for the last twenty years. Are they still waiting , and hanging around? Life goes on and we are all dispensable, or disposable . Diana's last hours, in a creepy place, with Hanger's on ...waiting..... That's how I see it.

I was an 8 year old little girl when Diana died, I looked at her as a real princess. She was so loveable, I havent looked at the royals the same way ever since. I know they are responsible for her death! Charles couldn't stand all the attention she was getting cause she was taking his spotlight because she showed love and none of the royals know what true love is. So sad, may her soul forever rest in peace and may Doddis soul forever rest in peace. And may her children be comforted every day.

watching this is terrible, knowing that these three people would be dead in a few hours, knowing that she would never see her sons again, it`s so tragic, and they did not know what was waiting for them, horrible ......but Diana and Dodi were very obviously in love, their whole body language says this, i`m glad she was happy in that moment because it seems she was very unhappy for years before this....you can say, "if only they`d stayed in the Hotel, if only they had had another driver, but it means nothing because this is fate, i`m afraid :-(
@Stelpots7 жыл бұрын
I agree with almost everything you say apart from that they were in love. I think he was more into her than she was to him as she loved Hasnat Khan, a doctor she dated for 2 years. She told friends that Dodi was a little suffocating as he kept showering her with expensive gifts. She also didn't want to be in Paris, it was his decision and she only went along with it because he had the security guards and plane access, they were supposed to go to London from their holiday, not Paris. They were happy in this moment but I personally don't believe their relationship would last beyond the summer if they had lived.

Very sad. First time seeing the full footage. Dodi looks like a perfect gentleman. They both knew love in her final moments. It bothers me that nobody emphasizes that the ultimate cause of the car crash was the drunk driver. Also found out recently she lived well after the crash and they tried to save her top doctors. Just shows what a strong woman she was.

But she had to wait another evening before she could get back to them..Sadly it never happened as we all know which makes this even harder to watch..I saw an interview with her sister Sarah, and that is where I heard her describe what she saw and felt about that night.

I have to say that watching this made me quite anxious. I loved Diana and always thought she got a raw deal with that ass Charles. He used her to have his kids and messed around with that witch Camilla all along knowing he would be with her one day. I watched this knowing these three were going to soon die. And Diana's boyfriend was holding her so lovingly. I could see she finally found someone that truly loved her. She leaned on him at one point. She had a glow. And so did Dodi. I too was thinking "know, don't get in the car". "If only they had stayed in". I also don't understand this hiding thing. They should have just walked out, waved at these losers and got into the car. Then put on their seat belts!! I would have said "Look, lets just go slow not race" "I don't want to crash". "It's not worth it". So they take a picture, it's going to happen, I want to live". Maybe nowadays, that is what she might have done. I also don't get why they thought they could outsmart the paperazzi since they didn't see anyone get into the car that looked like Diana. These body guards should have had a girl in a blond wig that looks like Diana get in a car, then not go fast and go down the street. Seems like this is a lot to do to avoid pictures. I would rather they take pic's then chance dying. Rest in Peace Dear Diana and all involved. Horrible tragedy. Charles and Camilla, still get to do whatever they want. Make me sick.
