I had the same hairdo long b4 Diana did. And I looked similar to Diana by default. I'm 3 years younger than her. When she came to Australia, I was at a shopping mall. For some reason (I don't know why), there were a group of security guards gathered. I was wearing the fashion at the time, frilly skirt and shirt. And my mother and I walked near this group of security guards. I started behaving like Diana, as I had seen her on the TV, head down messing with the front of my hair, like I was shy. My mother said "oh stop it!" Ppl started looking when I was close to this group of guards. I really did look like her. I swear, if my mother wasn't there to tell me off, I would've played into the whole thing! So, thanks Mum, my 15 minutes of fame was lost!!!!!

I also remember when Prince Charles visited Australia in 1981, shortly before his wedding and was bombarded with Diana look-a-likes! She (me) is in Boise, Idaho! Really wish I could have taken the trip to the U.K. The months that followed saw a lot of terrorist activity in the area, and I postponed travel. Unfortunately, not too long afterwards, the airline I was to go on ceased offering passenger flights! Bummer. :-/

My KZbin (potatoluver63) profile pic is from 4 yrs ago, so that's pretty much what I look like now. I did get a pixie haircut three years ago, but grew it out starting 7 mos ago so it's back to a bob in progress. I never know what to do with my hair! LOL Thinking I might go back to a shag cut. BTW, I just turned 60 YO this week. Diana would be 2 years older than I. Hard to imagine when you're a young person (as 60 sounds so OLD, even to me!) but now that I am of that age, I still feel young. Good attitude, overall healthy living, and maybe even blessed good genes do play a part. My adoptive mother will be 94 in March, and she is so sharp and active. Her hearing and eyesight are diminished, but when I think of how vibrant she still is at that age, it just makes me smile!

LOL! Well, it was a just a li'l ol' local fun "contest". I was even given a silly scepter. I was more disappointed that I couldn't take advantage of the trip to England. No fault of anyone. We delayed booking the trip because of terrorism at the time, and then a few months later the airline company went bankrupt or changed from passenger to cargo.
