No, she wasn't forced to marry Charles but it wasn't until after they had been engaged for quite some time that she found out about Camilla and realized Charles didn't actually love her. I think she thought about calling off the wedding but was afraid of letting not only The Royal Family down but all of England as well. I can't imagine the pressure she must have felt to please all of those people.

A "symbol of purity"? She had at least one affair while still married so no, she was not "pure". She also was NOT "killed by a cruel world". The one thing that the Monarchy never anticipated was how much Diana was loved by the people. No one cared about the Monarchy until Diana became apart of it. She was unlike any other royal. She was compassionate and caring. She was such a sharp contrast to what people had known about the Royals. At least one thing we know is that the queen couldn't deny that Diana was loved. Even if she didn't care for her, the people did and that's all that matterd.

I do think that when the queen arrived in London and saw by herself the mourning and all flowers at the gates she understood the magnitude of what was happening about Diana’s death. I’m pretty sure that day has changed her forever as well. The fact she bowed to Diana at the last end is the key proof of it. She did it with respect. In the end, Diana is Royal and it’s Queen with or without the title. Her funeral says it all.

I smiled throughout the entire funeral of my grandfather. Because when you organize an event and many people come, you are the one they seek out. You have to stand there and greet them and meet every one of them, listen to what they have to say and express your condolences to them, not the other way around. Because YOU are the person that makes sure the one who passed is seen off with dignity and if it is an event that is followed closely by the public eye, your grief does not matter as much as the impact the dead had one those that stayed behind. You make sure everything works, you smile and you allow yourself to be happy because there will be easier days to come.

When she was offered flowers for herself, she realized that people hadn't turned against her and were sympathetic to her because her grandchildren had lost someone important in their lives. She had thought she wouldn't receive anything but hostility and negativity, and those flowers were a way of the public saying, "We are glad you are here and sorry for your loss". I was born on August 18th, 1997 so I was just 13 days old when Diana died. From what I have been told, she was a kind person. May she rest in peace.

She is not important enough. Harry is 6th in line and will never be king. Diana was supposed to be the queen. Also she was a British noble the daughter of the 8th Earl Spencer. She built her reputation as a genuine philanthropist. She did stuff nobody had done before her and were considered taboo around the world ( touching and hugging HIV patients) Raising the land mine issue by actually walking through them. Megan is just plastic.

It is day I will never forget and where I was. I was working in Westfield N J both for her death and funeral. It was a time in the History of the world. She was so loved by the young and old. Women, men, girls and boys. She had Loved everyone in the same way that she was Loved by everyone. Princess was funeral was like no other one in modern History. And seeing the two young boys walking next to their mother's casket was the hardest of it. They hadn't have the chance to enjoyed their lives with their well beloved mom princess Diana. RIP you are surely missed.

If find it sometimes hard to take the media’s tributes to Princess Diana seriously since they had no problems chasing her with cameras and being the resulting cause of her death. It was only after her death, they gave her the respect she always deserved.
