Princess Diana while married to Prince Charles was one of the most loved members of the British royal family, she died in a 1997 car crash.
This video takes you on a tour of the official burial site and around the Althrop Estate briefly and then onto the Spencer Crypt to examine this possibility.
Rumors about alternative locations of Diana's grave started almost immediately after the funeral, with "locals" in the village reporting "suspicious activity" in the days before and after.
Workers were called into the church to dig a hole in the floor inside the crypt to prepare space for Diana's coffin before she was laid to rest.

Whilst visiting Althorp during 2003 from South Africa, my daughter and I visited St. Mary's chuch in new Brington. In the book on the lecturn next to the crypt, is written "Here lie the Spencer family in unbroken lineage" Makes me think she is resting peacefully in the Spence crypt. 🙏❤️

I think she is in the family crypt too! As you said the water around it would make the ground soggy and may compromise the casket! Even if you had a liner outside the casket it would still leak in!

​@angelastratton4033 . I think that white car that hit them that night was a setup. It's very strange the police never found the car, or perhaps they were never supposed to find that car. The reports were too quick that the driver was drunk. Could anyone bend over, from a standing position and tie their shoes before getting into the driver's seat if they were drunk?? Hotel cameras showed the driver doing just that. I'll always believe that she was killed on purpose, and the list is very short.

I heard a story many years ago now, but the story was that she is in the church. A hole was definitely prepared for her coffin and there was a lot of activity on the evening of the funeral. The island couldn't be used as a grave site because of all the water making it impossible to dig. The story goes that she was indeed taken out to the island, but in the evening transferred to the church. Of course,we'll never know the real story. The only ones who really know are the family and the people who buried her.

Hello Alan, I had put on a vhs movie video to watch, my husband went to bed. I fell asleep and was woken to the noise of the VHS ejecting itself. The news came up immediately with a banner saying Diana had been in a car accident. I was confused and yelled for my husband because I couldn’t believe what I was watching. We both watched and eventually they announced she had passed away. We both stayed up completely in shock. We even watched a young man place the first flowers outside Kensington Palace. As you know it was the early hours but we couldn’t sleep at all. My husband is a very controlled man but I cried for weeks, sometimes I still cry when I see documentaries. When we watched the funeral I sobbed my heart out when Elton John sang. Next was Earl Spencer’s unforgettable speech. I have seen a video on KZbin of a drone footage and it did look like an above ground vault on the island. I believe its a memorial to Diana and she is in the family vault at St Marys Church with her Father as she wished. I have visited Althorp and the Church, truly beautiful.

I was in the Brontë cake shop in Sydney , buying an apricot pie when I heard it on the radio. I rushed home to tell my flatmate who was asleep on the sofa. I remember visiting a friend in her flat later that day , looking out the window and thinking I will remember this day clearly, just like my Dad said he remembered every detail and where he was when President Kennedy died. Gosh I cried and cried, it was a real grief . I went to work with puffy eyes from crying . My friend saw her once in London on Chelsea road and raved about her beauty and how she glowed. She did many good works and had a genuine empathetic heart. She was a rare one.

I remember very clearly watching the TV at 2am sitting in my family room when I heard the awful news and watched the story timeline. My husband and I, were on a scenic drive, at the time of her death, we stopped into my sister's on our way home and her husband said "Did u hear that Princess Diana has died" I spun around and said angrily "THATS NOT FUNNY"!!! They then stated that it was true. I was devestated!! Our son (6) went to his room for awhile, then came out a few hours later, sat on the stairs between the kitchen and lounge; looked up thru the skylight, sobbing: I asked what the matter was and he said he was upset "because Princess Diana's sons wouldn't have a mummy any more! He bought and signed a sympathy card and sent it to Buckingham Palace, all from his little pocket money. I was so proud of him

I put TV on and watched until her death was announced. They showed the car and I thought, no way has she escaped from that with just a broken arm. It was the most shocking news ever.

Earl Spencer releases a video of the crypt on his channel last year and said *he knows a lot about the people above and below him* with a high rised smile, also the vault has motion sensors around it and it highly secured, I did spot one in the back ground of your shot 😱 Its a beautiful church fab video by the way!

fantastic video . The althorp estate is so beautiful, i would imagine no matter what time of year, it's always remains timeless and beautiful what a privilege to see. The church of st. mary's is charming steeped in history too look at that spectacular family crypt wow... Princess of Wales/ Lady Diana is definitely there in my mind along with her ancestors all resting in eternal peace for obvious reasons why they do not want people flocking after her death as it was horrific end that shocked the world . I hope st. mary's remain a peaceful church . They do not make buildings like this anymore the architecture and craftsmanship is amazing.

I was at my mum's house in Wales for the bank holiday weekend and had friends staying over, we had been at the pub and stayed up late as you do, I remember the tv saying she had been in an accident and was taken to hospital. Ps i was asleep in bed when my mum rang to tell me that morning x We were both in mega shock and cried a plenty . In fact we cried together watching programmes about her . was 10 yrs old and I woke up and heard the news. I cried. In my childish mind, Princesses don't die. The Disney movies have always pictured Princesses live happily ever after. So this was a shock. I live in the United States and it was very emotional for me. There are 3 events that I remember where I was that day. Princess Dia death, 9/11, and the airport explosion that killed several service members. The explosion shook our house and I flew outta the top bunk bed cos i was so scared. RIP Princess Diana. I’m a Kiwi, was married and a dairy farmer at the time. I had just finished washing the vat, and sealing it up before doing the afternoon milking. The news blared out over the shed radio. I think the words “ unbroken series “ is pretty much a testament that Diana is buried in the family crypt and not on the island. I also believe that she was always going to be buried in the crypt in the event of her death, but due to the fact that she was so loved, the Spencer’s suggested that she was buried on the island in order give her peace. ❤

I was working a night shift in a dementia care home .. followed the news all night in between the rounds, cycled the four miles home to shower and change then got the train to Victoria, Buckingham Palace is a short walk away...met with a group of friends and we laid flowers.

Another great video Alan and I would say she was buried in the church as the island you would have to dig at least 20 feet down to get well below the lake level.The only reason Charles Althrop says she’s buried is so he can make money out of of Diana’s misfortune. It would be interesting to see how much money he has made since his sisters death. That’s just my theory. Can’t wait till your next video keep up the good work 👏👏👏👍

Althorpe is a lovely Place I have been there so peaceful they got a cafe there it’s nice but when we were there there were loads of wasps flyin around I don’t think we will ever know where Diana is resting a very remarkable lady ❤ RIP Diana till the next one 😊

I remember at the time, and since, even watching your video about something. I may or may not be thinking right, but cast your mind back to Diana’s funeral, her coffin was lead lined and extremely heavy. I would love to know how they got it across to the island. I can’t for the life of me see it going a ross in a tiny boat being followed by close family, as I believe that they were the only people in attendance at her internment. Just a niggle for me?😊

I live in Canada and I was just turning the news on, when they first broke in with the accident. Watched that ambulance and cried all night. Knowing what the time meant and thinking of Princess Diana’s sons. I’m a year younger than she and each of my two sons is one year younger, than hers. Then 25 years and a few days later, we lost Queen Elizabeth. She’s missed but like you said she never grew old. RIP.

Harry, in his Spare book, says he rowed Meghan over to his mother's island gravesite. This was on the 25th anniversary of her death. I think Diana is probably really there. Thanks for taking us along - it was so nice you brought those lovely flowers 🌷

I really don't know what to believe. If she's buried on the island I'm sure it could flood and wouldn't think it would be a safe place over the years. Think I'm leaning more to the church. Its so beautiful and her family are all there. I was in bed when my daughter phoned to tell me about her death and to put tv on. After she died I drove to althrop with flowers and a letter for William and Harry I gave them to the security on the gates. And a good few weeks later I received a thank you letter from the boys which I still have. I found this very interesting thanks Alan for sharing love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire 💙 💚

Hi Gill when you look back isn't it amazing how much effort yourself and myself putt into grieving for Diana. You drive all that way to end in your letter approximately 130 miles and I went to London with Paulina. I think it was one of the first times that the country felt a mass grief like it was part of our friends and family. A couple of people in The undertaking industry. I've told me that she's definitely in the church so that would be my bet now. It doesn't actually matter except for her own final wishes. We all remember 🙏 Thank you for your lovely comment as usual.
